Championship dates determined

Since making the official announcment in July, the ORDA and NCAA websites have left us hanging in regard to the DIII championship with this scheduling notice:

The NCAA Division III Men’s Ice Hockey Committee recently announced that Lake Placid will host the 2010 NCAA Division III Men’s Ice Hockey Championship March 19-20 or March 20-21, depending on the television broadcast schedule.

Well, I was curious whether the official dates had been selected (because it's really not that far away) and I e-mailed the Olympic Regional Development Authority. Today I received an e-mail saying the final four will take place Friday, March 19th and Saturday, March 20th.

Re: Championship dates determined

How come department --

How come the Frozen Four Division I practices are open to the general public, but the Last Team Standing Division III practices are not?

Well, they are open to the "CBS College Sports Network crew" - I guess the coaches have to run the Zamboni  :(
