Still don't think this Michigan team is as good as last year, but they have seemed to figure things out. Which I never said they hadn't, I was worried about this game knowing Michigan was hitting on all cylinders. With that said, Miami played their C game at best tonight...some of that had to do with Michigan. Flat out Red Berenson put together a wonderful game plan.

All credit goes to Michigan, Game plan was superb. Haven't seen this effort all year out of Michigan so I wouldn't expect it again but things got to change.

On a side note...Miami lost two games in regular season CCHA....and in the 4 they have played in this tourny..they are looking to go 2-2 against the same teams they went 5-0-1 during the regular season....is Miami sliding at the worst possible time?

How do you not?? They lost to some really bad teams and finished 7th in the conference. Pretty simple to see why the are on the outside looking in...however they have figured it out...

Got to throw that stat out against Ohio st. those were the 5th, 6th, and 7th time they played this year and its a rivalry game. But they obviously aren't playing their best at the right time. However they weren't last year either...

OK fair enough, gotcha now. I agree, where were they all year? But they picked it up at the right time to make a late push.
If they win tomorrow, and get in the tourny. That is an awful first round game for a 1 seed. Positive thing is Miami wouldn't see them until the frozen four if either got their. But Wisconsin or North Dakota or Boston College will get a battle in round one should michigan get in.

And no Miami is a Firm #1 seed even if they lose both games this weekend. Especially with Wisconsin and Denver both losing as well. They will be a #1 seed in Ft. Wayne no matter what happens this weekend.

Ill give you talent, but wasn't their depth. Actually It was more coaching than anything. Red put together a dynamic game plan and attacked Miami. Hands down the quickest team Miami has faced all year, not sure where this effort was last fall, but they found it now.
