'Cats v 'Cats UNH v Vermont Sat Jan. 2 Not quite the Winter Classic...but close!

Very simply, Umile is just being out-coached by Sneddon. Again.

Well one thing for sure we were taken right out of our game from the get go. UVM used a highly physical forechecking game, crashed the net to create their opps for which we seemed to have no answer for. One could say we will fare better against them in our big ice but those issues need a remedy and right quick...

UNH D-men could not move the puck out of a wet paper bag last night; on one occasion in the third, Poturalski must have been so frustrated with his D-men that he skated it out himself the full length of the ice.

So agree...this will only become more apparent as we hit the big teams; like UML for instance this Friday...😳

There's the UNH Achilles' heel this season (and next?), right there in a nutshell.

Nevertheless, wasn't it TyK who failed to get the puck out of the zone just before the OT loser?

You could be right on that one, as I was at the opposite end and could not see who was at fault for coughing up the puck, but no one seemed to be able to move the puck out of our defensive zone most of the game. The UNH SOG total was deceptive, as most of those came late in the third, when we actually did a little better moving the puck. I would like to see all of players skate with the puck more, rather than firing impossible to collect passes, sometimes over half the length of the ice.

We were sitting in the UVM zone for OT and TyK wasn't the only one "puck watching" if you will. Just not a good night for taking initiative and a motivated UVM team took advantage. There were other 'notables' in that mix too...just saying. Saw it coming no surprise.

To paraphrase Gandalf (the White): saw it coming and did nothing about it! I am sooooo disappointed with you Ref. ;)
