From the PR Newswire - Cardinal Sports Digest to acquire NCAA DIII portion of USCHO

Amateur Sports Marketing, LLC, operator of USCHO.com has announced the transfer of all NCAA DIII ice hockey related coverage to its former rival Cardinal Sports Digest, operator of D3Hockey.com. In the announcement, Tim Brule of Amateur Sports Marketing said that declining hits to his site from followers of NCAA DIII ice hockey combined with a desire to return to expand their NCAA DI ice hockey coverage and refocusing on their core business - sportswear periodicals were driving forces behind the move. Matthew Webb, Managing Editor for D3hockey.com said he looks forward to synergistic move and said the expansion should prove to be very beneficial to fans and other stakeholders of NCAA DIII ice hockey. Webb said he began tenure as U.S. College Hockey Online's NCHA/MCHA Columnist in 2006 and also covered the 2007, 2009 and 2010 Frozen Fours for USCHO, leaving in the fall of 2010. He extends an invitation to all the members of USCHO, particularly the forum participants to join the ranks of D3hockey – the No. 1 source for Division III hockey information. Webb said he thanks Pat Coleman Executive Editor of d3Sports.com for supporting the take over and encourages the fans to watch his site for more information as the transition takes place.

Not so fast my friends...........

I, along with the other stakeholders of P&GBadgerPrez, who holds the rights ECAC-West Pick 'em, the Original D-III Pick 'em game, have been approached by those involved in orchestrating this move with a very favorable proposition ensuring that ECAC-West Pick 'em, the Grandaddy of all D-III pick 'em game will continue to hold its premier place in D-III hockey for years to come. :D

This will likely hurt Birdwatcher's chances in the TOP. I know this oversight and killing of fun may not be looked at favorably...

:p

I guess I jumped the gun.....this was the third sports related prank I ran into this morning including the Jim Boeheim becoming the Knicks coach. After having two busted NCAA brackets and this I might better take up another hobby....sorry guys.
