A huge win against NMU that is a sign of things to come, followed by a lackluster performance against Lake State that is a sign of where we are right now.

Two weeks to think about this before we travel to CC.

Just got off the phone with an associate in Vegas:

Bye -1.5 (-110)
MTU +1.5 (+130)

o/u 3.5 (-110)


It's still early in the week, and this is only for game 1. I expect a half-goal uptick on the -1.5 for Bye.

Some bright spots in that loss. Genoe played pretty good, the freshmen got a lot of exposure and will have something to work on for the next two weeks. the special teams same.

They have a lot of work to do in those 2 weeks.

Luckily for Tech, its early in the year, and they haven't been hit by the injury bug yet. Tech sweeps, though Bye makes them sweat it out Saturday night.

Well, at least this will give me time to watch the archived games from this past weekend. :)

Just looking at the stats, it seems like our penalty kill will already need some work though.

So. I've got a pretty badass ringtone (the full fight song, perfect quality). I usually use it as my alarm. I forgot that I set it yesterday for 10:30. All of my class today was silent, and all of a sudden... DAH DAH DAHHHH. DAH DAH DAHHHHH. Ironically enough, this is the class I have with BUNGERRRRRR.

Last time I leave my alarm on. Really.

Just in, this game has been picked up by ESPN U. Should be as entertaining for viewers as the last LSSU TV game.

In other news, Bye is widely considered the frontrunner for the sixth BTHC slot. No word yet from their Athletic Department on whether the rumor has any validity.

There was concern from Harvard-Ann Arbor that Bye's academic standards may not be up to snuff, even to join as an associate member for hockey. Apparently Michigan State has tried to recruit some cones before, but they couldn't make it under the BT academic bar. ;)

Didn't Tech try to recruit a cone once? Went by the name of CPZ?

Oh, wait, he just had the IQ level of a cone. :p :(
