Brown @ RPI - Sunday, March 17th

fr joe

Go Red! Go White!
RPI's win forces a game 3...
Go spend St Patrick's Day with your favorite hockey team and about 2500 of your closest friends. ;) Ha, were it as easy as that!
Toughest night in college hockey as each time faces elimination. This should make for some inspired play on both sides because someone's going home and someone's moving on to Atlantic City.

Let's go, Red!

Folow the process, be attentive to details, skate our game and just win, baby!

Re: Brown @ RPI - Sunday, March 17th

Great response from the team last night. We have a very limited bench, and can't afford any more injuries, or ejections.
Need to come out tonight with the same resolve we had last night. If we play our game, we should beat Brown.
We certainly showed that we can beat Borelli, now go out and do it again.

Lets go red!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Brown @ RPI - Sunday, March 17th

Late last night-Jen and I watched the hit on Nicky about 20 times on RPI-TV. it appeared from the video that the brunt of the hit was above the knee-more of an anterior thigh event. Thigh contusions can be painful and limiting. But they are not knees. Hopefully he is able to go with this-but it will be tough. Not sure if we will see him at all-and if we do-for how much ice time or how effective he can be. It also looked like he took quite a rap to his shoulder at the same time but nothing has been mentioned. I do not think it was a dirty hit-just a hard hit at pretty high speed.
Brown has shown that they deserve to be here and tonight will be a tough one-we have to get the lead and build on it. We have to stop there one big line and we have to get traffic in fron to fthe goal and disrupt him. Go Red!!!

Re: Brown @ RPI - Sunday, March 17th

A little pump-up for tonight. I want to hear the Field House loud and rowdy tonight. This team has given us everything they can all year, its time to repay them by being that extra energy they will need tonight. Lets Go Red!!!!

Re: Brown @ RPI - Sunday, March 17th

Fish-If you want them pumped up-then let them play Tubthumping by Chumbawamba (circa 1997). We used to love it when the boys came out to warm up to that at HFH in the late 90's. As coach SA says all the time-when we are a nasty hittin gteam, we can play with anyone. Unfortunately some of the officials take exception to when we play like that and try to set a tone early. We make one big hit and off we go. We have 4 big Defensemen-all of whom can hit-and guys go down. That does not in itself mean it should be a penalty. They are clean hits by big boys who stand 6'5". Brown is not a small team-they hit just as hard-the fellow that took Bailen out I think outweighs him by 30 pounds and is certainly 210-220 pounds. As long as the hits are not to the head or from behind into the boards-they really have to let them play hockey. If they want to turn this into a non checking game-then i would go watch the ladies.

Re: Brown @ RPI - Sunday, March 17th

Jen and i heading out for our annual St Patrick's field trip. Expecting our usual raucous time. If we are not back in time for the game please keep good notes. I imagine SA is making no changes in the line up and i would suspect we get the same officials for tonight. Go Red! Keep this season going!!!
