Lets hope we get some of our regulars back tonight.

Lets go RED!!!!!!!!!!

Why would you expect such a rapid recovery? We will be lucky not to lose more to the spread of something. This is winter and virus season for as many years as I can remember. Even if it is just a rotten stuffy nose and sore throat cold, do you really think guys will be able to skate and play at full tilt? A better thought would be to send all of the sick guys over to visit the Brown locker room to congratulate them for last night's win!! Perhaps they will be down a few scoring forwards or a goalie or two!

Only kidding - we would never do anything like that, or dim a few lights over the visiting goal tender at his end of the ice or leave the doors open at one end of the HFH so we could be skating with the wind at our backs for a period or two.

I don't expect rapid recovery, but I can always have hope.
Maybe we can win with the guys we have. I just hope that someone tells them to shoot when they have a shot and not try to make a perfect pass.
We played Yale even, so it shouldn't take much more effort to win tonight

Totally right about passing up shots to try to make the perfect pass. Always felt good things can happen when you put the puck on the net. Yale goalie was not allowing many rebounds but any he did can lead to second chances and scoring opportunities. We made far too many cross ice passes that got tipped or took shots from too far out that got blocked. Perhaps it is wishful thinking on my part, but we are better than that and should be able to show it!

Might get to see the early part of the girls hockey today before we have to head home. Will try to post updates if I can. Weather should be deteriorating here soon but does not look like we will get any snow. Just that raw3 damp cold as the wind comes off the ocean that makes zero degrees in Troy feel warm by comparison! Saturdays just too many people at the pub wanting to watch other sports events later but often we can a few hours of RPI hockey before then if the games start early.

RPI women now even with VT, 1-1, midway through the second. RPI goal on an end-to-end rush by Larsen to set up Wagner for the PP goal.

RPI women take a 2-1 lead over VT after 2. Second RPI goal: Alexander pinches in with good forecheck in corner, feeds Skoda all alone in front of the net.

At least we got to see 2 periods. Very even play and a rel boost to get that late goal by Skoda who was all alone in front with 38 seconds left. Vermont has one very talented line with one really top player in Mlynkova. Have to make sure to stop her in the third period. heading home and may miss the boys tonight.

Cioffi from Hardy makes it 3-1 RPI vs VT, with 11 mins. left....And as I was typing..Cioffi sets up Christof to make it 4-1 RPI.

Cioffi from Hardy again, and RPI leads 5-1.

And that is the final, for the weekend sweep.

It started snowing here in the Capital District. 6-12 inches expected, so I doubt there will be a lot of people watching at the HFH tonight. Let’s go red! Shoot the puck!

Shoot the puck takes me back to the good old and the big whistle yelling shoot the puck Barry.
I know that not everybody will get the reference, but it makes me smile.

If that is the same storm which we got in DC, we got more salt than snow, and then the rain caused the salt to pollute the streams and rivers. A common occurrence.

It’s the same storm which just started here. But we have a lot more cold air than DC.

Watson and Brackett back in tonight per line charts!

Coach Smith's radio segment was Tuesday so I bet the flu was running through the team earlier on in the week, and Watson just wasn't quite ready yet yesterday. Brackett on the otherhand has been out awhile. Good to have both back!
