Brown Hockey 2023-2024

Mike Hutter

Brown Wins!
Not much to write about the past few years. But with sons of St. Louis and Drury joining sons of Tonelli, Brown is on an upward trend that should start to pay off.

Caron is an excellent goalie. Had good Dmen playing in front of him which helped him and his development. What hurt is Brown's lack of scoring, which, interestingly, may have have taken solid steps forward after he left with Brendan's recruiting. Interesting that at the start of last season, Caron was gung ho for med school and all in for that goal. As he started playing very well, NHL money seemed to take over.

Looks like Brown has a goal scorer. Martin St. Louis's son Ryan with hat trick in his second game. Some additional scoring from frosh. Frosh goalie performs well in first two starts. Looking good so far. Real test with Cornell coming in. Watched Cornell play last night. Looks like ECAC championship will be in Ithaca.

sshablak: "You'd think he'd have gone to UVM."

I was surprised to as were a lot of Brown fans.. Head coach firing a deterrent? Was he even recruited? Brown locked on to him early on and he stayed with Brown. Averaging a point a game now. With him scoring, a terrific linemate in Scott, Ryan continuing his fine play and young Dcorps with frosh goalie exceeding expectations, Brown hockey is clearly on the rise. Holy Cross will be a good test for the team.

Bruno one point from second place in ECAC. Who would have thought except the Brown faithful. Team really is on the rise and will be peaking at playoff time.

Is there any main reason why Brendan Whittet is still the HC of Brown? Or do does Brown just don't care about the hockey program? Just happy to play DIV 1?

One of the conference's greatest mysteries. Even Dartmouth went out and got a capable coach to replace Gaudet, and that program seemed stagnant
