Bowl Games on TV

I noticed that this year many of the bowl games -- including the major BCS bowls and the National Championship game -- are being broadcast on ESPN. I don't have cable and live in the boonies. I have a rooftop antenna and can only pick up the major networks and PBS. Does anyone know if ABC will partner with ESPN to televise the major games? I used to see the Rose, Cotton, Fiesta, Sugar, etc, routinely on the major networks. What cuased this change ( ..I guess it was $$$). This is very frustrating and means New Years Day is not special anymore for those of us not able to get ESPN. Does anyone have an answer? Where can I tune in to get the bowl games (other than renting a room at the local motel or sitting in sports bar 24/7).

I'm pretty sure the only games broadcast on network TV are the Sun on CBS, Outback on ABC, and Cotton on FOX. There's always the internets.

I don't have cable either, and use an antenna to get the major networks. I watch ESPN using ESPN3.com, and connect my computer to my TV with a cable. It works pretty well considering.

According to an article a few weeks ago in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel the Rose Bowl is only on ESPN this year and there will be no partnering (the ABC affiliate in the Milwaukee market was officially denied permission to carry the game).

Unfortunately I have the next notch up from dialup, so the Internet is not really an option. Maybe since I live in the boonies the local affiliate of ABC will carry some of the games. One can only hope....what a cluster@#@%
