Board Server issue

Any chance we can get an update on the constant “server is busy” message everyone is getting? Is there any way for us to all help in some way?

we lost a lot of people when the big forum migration happened years ago, I really don’t want to see this board die out again

Let me clarify. No server error messages have been seen since.

That message appears when you try to post in a thread that was closed. A new thread will have to be created.

Yeah I don't think anyone ever had a problem with that, especially if it means the board runs better. But it just stopped happened a few years ago for some reason.

I got server busy this morning so I doubt the issue is totally fixed but it is better then it was

Same here. It is "working". Pity it was unusable for the majority of the best posting week of the year.

Is the forum database running on a TRS-80? It’s laughable that in 2024 threads with 1000 messages would cause problems.

Imposing a limit on Chuck Murray’s babbling of 250 words would significantly improve bandwidth.

The 1000+ reply threads were deleted. There are still 575 pages of DI threads with posts dating back to 2009.
