... Hofstra eliminates football program

Cosby's routine entitled "Hofstra" from his "Why Is There Air?" album is maybe my favorite monologue of his. He tells stories about his time as a fullback for the Temple Owls and their televised game against Hofstra.

"Hofstra beat us 900-0 ... in their street clothes."

"And the pain ... was tremendous. And I threw down the ball and I said ... Oh."

"Please do not touch certain areas of your bodies when you are on the football field...

That ruins my plan for this Saturday. You, me, bar, beers, buzzed. Wings, shots, drunk! Waitresses — hot! Football, Cornell-Hofstra, slaughter! Then quick nap at my place, then we hit the tizzown.
