I'm still trying to figure out what's wrong with splits in Alaska. This weekend wasn't good. But to take two out of Alaska isn't bad. Actually, I had figured the team to be around 4 games over .500 at the Christmas break. They've certainly met my expectations at this point.

A split is fine, but the complete Jekyll and Hyde performance is what I'm not pleased with. Absolutely there will be "nights off" and road trip fatigue, but to go from a 1-0 shutout to being shutout 0-4. Then following that up with the 0-3 loss and then the 4-1 win... and then do let Bowling Green score ten against you in a weekend, it's just... confusing and frustrating.
There are absolutely going to be road bumps and stinker games, but it just seems like some of the players had their talent lost by Alaska Air and it's currently spinning in the carousel at Sea-Tac.

So what happened here? I'm not seeing a recap anywhere, and the box doesn't really tell me what's going on.

Jake Baker got called for a 5 minute interference with around 4:30 left so he hit the showers. Backup goalie Michael Doan tried serving it before they sent Justin Rose into the box. It was pretty funny to see. That whole third period was a mess.
