Bemidji visits Mankato 2/4-5

MavsFan

Watch out for the bull!
I guess somebody should start a thread, and I didn't see one. Bemidji's first WCHA visit to Mankato.

Re: Bemidji visits Mankato 2/4-5

I think Beaver fans were feelling like the team may be turning the corner after taking three of four points at Nebraska-Omaha. But then they dropped two to St. Cloud at home and we are left to wonder again.

Not that we are jumping off the bandwagon or anything like that, just wondering.......

Re: Bemidji visits Mankato 2/4-5

We're all over the place too. They actually played pretty well against North Dakota and Denver, but only came away with one point to show for it, then took three points in St. Cloud last weekend. I have no idea what to expect from one weekend to the next.

Re: Bemidji visits Mankato 2/4-5

I hope MSU comes out flying at home after heart breaking loses to UND and DU and going into St Cloud and taking 3. I WANT A SWEEP.

We were at the Saturday night game versus Denver, all it took was one turnover and the game completely turned. UGH, that was a frustrating 8 min and 20 sec in OT.

Re: Bemidji visits Mankato 2/4-5

MSU vastly outplayed BSU last night, yet narrowly missed losing on a couple of near misses in the last 30 seconds of regulation.

Mavs continue to display difficulty finishing their scoring chances.

Re: Bemidji visits Mankato 2/4-5

The Mavs had Bakala standing on his head through most of the game, they just couldn't finish. Those last 5 minutes were pretty disheartening after they had so many chances to put the game away. They played 50 minutes or so of good, solid hockey, but letting up at the end isn't going to get this team very far in the future.

Re: Bemidji visits Mankato 2/4-5

Tonight was just a perfect example of this team. Mavs more than doubled BSU in shots on goal and lose 4-1. No scorers.

Re: Bemidji visits Mankato 2/4-5

4 goals with 16 shots on goal!

Of course all four of those goals had the Bemidji player shooting point blank without a defender even close. Give credit to BSU and getting those types of shots, but the defense and bad passing was ridiculous last night.
