Another strange issue I'm having with this board

Strangest thing- when I'm using this IE9 to look at pages, when I do a "back", quite often it does not go back, but to a different page, generally an advertisement.

Today, it's consistently a monster.com website it's directing me to.

Oddly enough, when I look at the page orders, instead of going back, it's actually taking me forward to this page- as in the thread I was supposed to be backing out of is now the back thread.

Is there an ad that's getting way on top?

Anyone else having this problem?

The redirection other people have had problems with. Not sure how they fixed that.

The link issue could be browser related. Not that IE9 is broken necessarily but that it renders the code differently than say FireFox 4 or Safari 3. This could cause an image (or ad) to overlap a button and other strange behaviors.

firefox bra. IE is, and always has been garbage.

I am typing this in an IE browser. :(

Where I'm sitting, IE9 is my only option. And thankfully, it's not 8 anymore (we got updated 6 months ago)

Oh, so your on a work machine and have no other choice. understood. I am in the same boat.

As stupid as this sounds, I try not to use 'back' too often on message boards. Too many threads, and responses which just confuses things. As for your problem specifically, it sounds like malware but I doubt thats it. Sounds like a really wierd error though

It only happens when I'm here- so I think it's a ad/board issue. But it's consistent in taking me to monster for a job. As if it thinks I'm looking..... It needs to be spamming wT! :)

That's the same thing that happened earlier with me, only it was MyWebFace, or something like that. And it wasn't just this board, it was happening on another board. It is some sort of malware. I did download Firefox and it has stopped. Though I have IE here at work and it never happened here. We must have a pretty good firewall.
