All-Decade Teams

Here's a time-waster that might be fun for the summer, since we've just come to the end of a decade. Put together your all-decade team for your favorite team, conference, or in a real argument starter, division. Any player who played during a season from 2000-2001 to 2009-2010 is eligible. I'll start with my particular area of expertise, Princeton:

First team:

Forwards: Gretchen Anderson, Andrea Kilbourne, Kim Pearce
D: Annamarie Holmes, Laura Watt
Goalie: Roxanne Gaudiel

Second team:

Forwards: Heather Jackson, Liz Keady, Marykate Oakley
D: Aviva Grumet-Morris, Sasha Sherry
G: Kristen Young

A few notes: the hardest choice is goaltender, as Princeton had three great ones over the decade. I can't believe I'm leaving off Megan Van Beusekom but there it is. Anyone who would rank the three in any order would get no major argument from me.

Laura Watt split her time between forward and defense, but I put her at D here just so I could get her on the first team. She was a terrific player.

Re: All-Decade Teams

Well, here are my picks for Clarkson University
1st team
Forwards: Britney Selina centering Marie-Jo Gaudet and Ashley Shaidle
Defense: Kim McKenney and Carlee Eusepi
Goal: Kira Hurley

2nd Team
Forwards: Lindsay Williams centering Juana Baribeau and Melissa Waldie
Defense: Christina Valesente and Tegan Schoeder
Goal: Lauren Dahm

Clarkson has only been D1 since 2003 so we have a smaller pool to draw from, bu i think they would match up pretty well to your Princeton teams
