Happy New Year

Hope all is well...whats gonna happen this year with the team...any scoring going to emerge. Thinking Haggerty and Laliberte might provide some this year...give me a run down.

Someone better start scoring, and those are certainly two possbilities. This is the time of the year that I, for one, am optimistic. I hope that it will last more than to next weekend.

They seemed to finish the year well defensively...seemed to take a long time for them to get any confidence in themselves last year. I am sure that the run at the end will help and the confidence will build. Very tough start to the year...not really sure if that helps a young team. Union and FS will be a difficult road...but if they get a decent start then it could be a springboard to better later.

Good to know you still check in here every so often. How's everything with my fellow gimlet drinkers? Miss you guys down at Princeton games-has not been the same without you and Mrs Hound.

I certainly hope so. Laliberté is either a sleeping giant, or hit his peak in the OJHL. I believe it's the former.

Tonight's beer of choice, since it's October, why not go with a pumpkin ale. Wolaver's pumpkin ale tonight, brewed in Middlebury VT. Certainly smooth, great flavour, the aromas scream "organic" to me (but it's organic hops/malts, so it better). Granted I'm a bit partial to the area's natural flavours so I may be biased, but I think I made a good choice this time around.

Nothing like a cold beer and a good hockey game.
