Exhibition games are done. Now they count in the standings. Down to Ferris State for two big WCHA games.
95 seasons and not even a patch... Jersey guy is sad, but I guess I'll still support the team anyway.

Tech wins two exhibition games, half of the teams in front of them in the polls lose or haven't played a game yet and Tech drops.
Yep, polls are still worthless.

Not having a green check next to this makes it hard to find...

Maybe because 95 isn't a real special number..... Its more of a "get back to me when you hit triple digits" kind of anniversary. We don't need to make a big deal every 5 years when we've been around for 95.
yeah, we're talking decades for anniversaries now...maybe 125 and 175 but 95 isn't special per say.
I just started the thread because the regular season starts this weekend. (I have a hard time finding it myself). If someone wants to start a new one that is fine, but I hope it would read about the 95th season....maybe start with MTU, making it easier to find.

So guys, tell me if I'm wrong about the players in the photo posted today by MTU.

As the THG tweet above says my best guess on lines is:
Heinonen-Neville-Gould
Baltus-Lucchini-Petan
Boeing-Eick-Sturos
Jackson-Blacklock-Gillies
Extra: L'Esperance (very likely that L'Esperance fits in there somewhere, possibly instead of Gillies or Jackson)
Not traveling: Vallis, E. Anderson, P. Anderson, Steman (surprised by this one)
Watson-Roy
Hanna-Birks
Auk-Leibinger
Extra: Davis
Not traveling: Hyland
Phillips
Extra: Wintjes
Not traveling: Kero
I don't claim to know anywhere near as much about Tech hockey as you do but I am really surprised to see you placing Lesperance as questionable or extra? I thought he was one of our better players down the stretch. 17 points in 29 games is pretty respectable and 15 of those points were after Christmas. I think if making up for lost offense is important he has to play a key roll this year. Unless of course you think the 4 freshman you list are going to jump right in and put up big numbers. Again, I don't know enough about them to make that assumption. I'm really excited if they are as good as you are giving them credit for being.
I agree, I'd expect him to be closer to the top of the line chart than the pressbox.
I don't think you guys are wrong, I was just going off of lines from last weekend and trying to piece it together. I would not be surprised at all to see him dress. With Steman out for some reason he might even be the 4th center. I just took a stab at lines.
Lines for the Laurentian games:
Heinonen-Neville-Gould (both games)
Baltus-Lucchini-??? (both games) L'Esperance once, Petan once
Boeing-Eick-Sturos (both games)
So I'm pretty confident in those 8 players.
That leaves Blacklock, Jackson, Gillies, L'Esperance and Petan. Seems obvious that Petan would go nicely with Baltus-Lucchini
I would not really be surprised by any combination of the last 4 forwards with either Blacklock or L'Esperance at center.
Yes, I would agree with that... if Tech had done ANYTHING to highlight their 80th and/or 90th seasons. On the other hand, there wasn't much to highlight for the last 20 years.yeah, we're talking decades for anniversaries now...maybe 125 and 175 but 95 isn't special per say.
