I'm just curious if anyone here works in retail and uses 3point5.com...
The reason I am asking is because I was informed tonight that I could possibly be fired if I order from that site... Supposedly 3point5 will charge shipping costs to the retailer that you work for and that was the main point our store GM kept bringing up... I haven't ordered anything yet, but each company states that I will be charged some kind of shipping fee upon ordering... It's equal to what you would normally pay to have something shipped for an online order, so I am really confused by this claim... There are other reasons that were given, but all in all, it seems that our GM is clueless about what he is talking about...
The other thing that ticked me off about this deal is that I have been told directly by Reps from Solomon Ski/Snowboards, Giro Helmets (Bell/Easton Sports), North Face, and others that they no longer have "pro deals" to give out to people... They simply referred us to the site...
This is something that really bugs the crap out of me... I am one of the most educated people on the products we sell, and this site is a big part of that... "Pro Deals" are rather hard to come by, especially when you participate in outdoor activities like skiing, boarding, fishing, and the like... You more or less have to be buddy buddy with a rep to get a deal... Now that companies have completely shifted to 3point5, it seems that we have lost our ability to catch a break and get a deal
Has anyone here had any experience with ordering stuff through them? Just curious if I am missing something here
I don't normally rock the boat, but this is a great thing, IMO, and I don't wanna let this go without a fight...
