2nd once in a while pick the NCAA Tournament field contest

I ran this 2 years ago, and forgot last year. However, I would like to resurrect it again for 2011/12.

Objective: Pick the 2012 NCAA Men's Division III field now.

You need need to pick the tournament selection from each Pool A conference AND the 3 Pool C selectees.

In case you've forgotten, the 8 AQ's will go to:
ECAC-E
ECAC-NE
MASCAC
MCHA
MIAC
NCHA
NESCAC
SUNYAC

Deadline is midnight October 29. That will give you three weeks to contemplate your <strike>navel</strike>oracles.

Your selection should look something like this:
ECAC-E - Southern Maine
ECAC-NE - Becker
MASCAC - Worcester
MCHA - MSOE
MIAC - Hamline
NCHA - Stout
NESCAC - Wesleyan
SUNYAC - Potsdam

Pool C: UNE, UWSP, Salem St.
(the above is for entertainment purposes, and is not to reflect anyone's picks)

So, Joe, how are you scoring this? I gotta know so I can plan strategically, especially for the <strike>lucky losers</strike> Pool C bids.

I'm a simple man with a simple mind. But to allow for human failures:
1 point for every team in the tournament that you get right, regardless of how they got there.
2 points for every Pool A you get right.
4 points for every Pool C you get right.

For example, if you pick Norwich to get a Pool A and Castleton to get a Pool C, and it happens that way, you'd get 8 points. If, however, Castleton got the Pool A, and Norwich got the Pool C, you'd get 2.

Max points then are 39.

Fair enough. I'll dust of the old <strike>crystal ball</strike> computer. Time to get things going. (at last) 15 days to go before NU-Dartmouth!

Shenanigans!! What... No accuracy factor? No complex algorithms? No unintelligible formulations? This is in <B><U>no</U> <U>way</U></B> NCAA DIII worthy (when considering the tournament selection process)!!!

A lot of 7-4 split picks. What is the though here, two foreground games in the west, or one first round game win Adrian heading east again?
