2026 Frozen Four

Curious what that means to you? In my opinion "deserving" translates in to what you have done in the past. That only gets you an opportunity to prove what you can do now. Scoring a lot of points at one level doesn't always translate to the same success at another. Time and space decreases as you move up the ladder.

Seems like you are referring to O’Brien? And BuckyB seems like someone who is very close to Wisconsin/team USA and is processing something not going their way. Right or wrong that is how it comes across.

Deserving to me means you’ve made a case in the past and are still performing at a high level. But bad luck exists- there are folks that said McNaugjton is not top 3 right now but they are trying to get her experience for the future.

Some of the bubble players who don’t make it just have really bad luck - bubble player from the state of Minnesota or Florida? USA hockey will probably try to get the Florida kid on for grow the game reasons. As the Minnesota kid you’d hate it but might understand. Bubble player with no connections, and bubble player with connections. A federation will take the one with connections. It’s not right but it’s life and it would be a tough pill to swallow but it’s the world we live in. And so I empathize with the bubble players who don’t make it.

there’s players that have made a case for themselves and been denied. Ambrose and Rattray in 2018. Again, Life is not fair. I feel bad for them (it obviously worked out hockey wise) but also see how absurdly lucky these athletes are. They have the PW. Prove people wrong there. Miller and Watts both did.

Collectively we should criticize the fact the men get 25 players while the women get 23 . I am reminded to keep finding ways to spend money on the PW…

I think if Eden and OBrien don’t make it - first of all they had insane success to be proud of at Wisconsin and should enjoy PW careers. But the “ go to Wisconsin to make team USA” was always going to have a breaking point. They can’t fill the whole roster with that school’s players. Meanwhile players elsewhere are making noise their own way, grabbing attention their own way. Good for them. Fortune favors the bold.

Again… uneducated.and no clue how things work.
Personalities, chemistry and one persons opinion every time leaves deserving / more deserving players at home. All the time and every time
If Janecke was a fourth liner for Team USA, then you'd have an argument. But she's on the first line.

Your notion that there's a player being left at home that's better and more deserving than a first-liner is comical.

More than happy to let folks here decide for themselves which one of us has "no clue".

You have made your case very clear.
Know nothing, state misinformation and believe in your falsehoods.
First line on a line chart is not done solely on ability.

Janecke is a heck of a hockey player...pure and simple. I would love to have her on the team that I root for.

I guess that makes me uneducated, but at least I didn't call an opponent and their conference "crap"
Never called a player “Crap”
The conference being crap was harsh so let’s rephrase.
The former CHA conference despite its rebranding is let’s face it, not very good.
Penn State needs to find a new home and should do so ASAP.
Let’s see how the Nittany Lions fare against the Buckeyes next week.

do you happen to know when the USA team gets named and when those players leave to be with team USA? I was thinking watching the pw yesterday we are in the territory where everyone just needs to stay healthy.

PWHL has games scheduled through Jan 28th. Wisconsin has "Senior Day" scheduled for the Jan 24th weekend, because that's the last time they know the seniors will be available during the regular season. So, sometimes around Jan 29th players head off to their national teams. I don't know when the various national rosters will be announced.

Thank you!

The Olympic players will miss the last series in January and the 3 regular season series in February… 8 games total.
The women start before the men in Milan.

Didn't say you called Janecke that. I meant team by opponent but I should have made it plural. That would have been less confusing and would have matched up to your statement better.

Here is your statement...

"Plays in a crap conference against crap teams and yet is not putting up truly eye popping numbers."

Look, you are entitled to your opinion but you are coming across like certain yuckeye posters and that has not been the case with most all of the other sinner posters. Be more like the others...or not.

Be truthful and educated about that which you speak.
Sometimes it may come across wrong especially in today’s world.
