Four first-round games tonight (All times EST)

Bowdoin @ Curry - 7 PM

Norwich @ Plattsburgh - 7 PM

UNE @ Plymouth State - 7 PM

Augsburg @ UW-Stevens Point - 8 PM
 
Jake Lanyi opens the scoring in the 2023 Tournament, giving Plattsburgh a 1-0 lead after 2 periods

Curry-Bowdoin and UNE-Plymouth State still tied 0-0 after 2

Augsburg-Stevens Point 0-0 in the 1st
 
The Bowdoin - Curry game has been a goal tenders duel between the two of them. Still 0-0 at the end of two. Lots of offensive on both sides and two power plays for Curry, but still nothing on the scoreboard.
 
UNE upsets Plymouth State 2-0 on the road, they will go to Utica

Bowdoin-Curry and Norwich-Plattsburgh are currently in OT

Augsburg and UWSP are tied 1-1 after 2
 
OMG this Curry v Bowdoin game is painful to watch.

Nothing wrong with the hockey...but between the fuzzy video, the constant video glitches and the student-announcer screaming into the microphone for every shot on goal....pls just someone hurry up and win!!!
 
UNE - PSU game was a game of inches. PSU outshot UNE 31-25 but EN goal sealed it. A couple of small breakdowns made a difference. Good luck to UNE the rest of the way.

Pointers and Augies go into the 3rd tied...been a great night of hockey so far!!!!

plus the ice was just dark and ugly…. Had to track the puck even.

Pointers and Augies are going into the 3rd overtime, tied at 1. Does the NCAA Div III tournaments have a limited number of overtime periods and then do a shoot out? Is this a record for OTs in the opening round of D3 NCAA Men's Jce Hockey? The teams and their fans must be exhausted!

The current record for longest game is 138:38. With this game going into 4OT now, we're at 120:00 at least

And yes, we'll keep going until someone wins
 
Sorry Russell, didn't know how to describe that nasty two word phrase! I was hoping that you would say that the overtime continues until someone scores, because the other way is no indication of how well a team performs. Teams, not shooting individuals nor the goalie, is the operative word.

Good, the Pointers scored, now I can go to bed.
