Thanks for setting up the poll which doubles as our annual census. Last year we had 16 people and 2 dogs if I recall.

Some interesting storylines for sure: I thought Giguere was nuts for going to UMD and yet here they are in the Final Four. Northeastern and OSU with their transfers. Seven on OSU and Mills and Murphy to Northeastern. Lastly, Yale, the Cinderella with Seitz and VanStone and good goaltending all of a sudden this year. What a difference their newer coach made. It's wide open this year. You have to love from a parity point of view that Wisconsin and Minnesota are not in the Final Four unless of course you are one of their fans. But, that's good for girls hockey although I'm not sure all the transfers are, but times change.

Could a would a should a: I wonder how far this Clarkson team could have gone with Giguere and Bernard. Might have been able to get to this Frozen Four but it was not to be. :-(

Definitely looking forward to this year’s games more than normal given the absence of Badgers and Gophers…sorry, not sorry!
For the record, I’ve had 6 rescue dogs(to keep the theme going)with most being either part or all husky…so my heart is with Northeastern even more now aside from wanting to see Hockey East break through and get the
Admittedly I haven’t seen enough of OSU nor UMD to say, but if the Huskies can play with the same composure and maintain possession as they showed against Wisconsin, it would seem the analytics will take care of themselves….all the teams have massive talent, great staffs and systems, which means the innate abilities along with the game’s incidentals will IMHO lead to NU this year!. btw, I call it women’s hockey, but that’s me!

Interesting that there's the sense of "new teams" interest, from zoofer and others, and yet three of the four teams in this year's FF were there for last year's FF.

It is nice of Wisconsin to make others happy by staying home. Even a Minnesota absence is much easier to take if we don't have to look at any Badgers. Heck, UMD could win, and for the first time, I wouldn't mind.

Mea culpa on my “new kids” comment….I’ll gladly accept ARM’s rationale since I believe it to have initiated my emotions! :0)
Not sure if it’s logical but a bit of me is rooting for Yale due to Mandi Schwartz and her ordeal back a decade ago…I got wrapped up in her fight so when I watch them, that’s all I can think of…. :[

(FWIW, my response wasn't a criticism, etc. Just an observation of a curious phenomenon.)
