2013 World Championships

The Voice From Above
I am planning on attending this year to see my first international hockey tournament. I had a few questions about it.

1) What is the deal with tickets? I have only seen a package for the Canadian games. Is there still an all games package, it looks like there was one around September but isn't available anymore apparently I want to see the US, Swiss and Czech games.

2) Is there going to be a shuttle or something between the two arenas so fans can both sets of games?

3) Who else is going to be there?

1) Don't see them either, but I would either call the contact number or e-mail advertised in this link:
http://www.hockeycanada.ca/index.php/ci_id/174382/la_id/1.htm

The Group A games (Can, USA, Fin, Swi) are all held at Scotia Bank Place, the NHL arena for the Ottawa Senators that seats 20,000. While there will be a lot of minor hockey teams attending (Ontario Provincials, 400+ Minor Girls hockey teams in town), doubt very much if it will be sold out. All the packages appear to be geared for this rink.

The Group B games (Che, Swe, Ger, Rus) are held at the Steve Ijzerman arena at the Nepean Sportsplex. That Arena holds about 3000 seats, all on one side. There do not appear to be any packages advertised, so not sure what the scoop is on that.

2) Not aware of a shuttle program. Scotia Bank place is in the far west end of town (called Kanata). Ijzerman rink is South-West part of city. Rinks are about 20-25 minutes apart from each other by car in light traffic conditions, mostly Highway driving. My suggestion would be to stay in the West End. Word of warning, Hotels could be scarce due to the influx of 300-400 minor hockey teams. Provincials are held from April 4-7. Worlds RR runs Apr 2-5, Quarters on Apr 6, Semi Apr 8, Final Apr 9.

3) I'll be there :)

Re: 2013 World Championships

Booked my stuff a few weeks ago. Got a package for just group A though I am planning on attending a few Group B (Czech) games, nothing seems to be offered for B. As for hotels I got a room at a 'decent' price in the middle closer to ScotiaBank, one of only a few places that I could afford at that point, though getting there each day without a car is going to be interesting/expensive. Looking forward to seeing you there.

You mean, "looking forward to hitching a ride with you." eh.

I plan on attending all the Czech games as well and a few of the Canuck games.

The problem is the Czech games conflict with the USA games a few times plus the getting back and forth issue. It is a good problem to have having players from your team on too many national teams I guess.
