Back again this week, post your top 10 teams in the country by Tuesday, December 4th by Noon (Eastern), and they will be counted towards the CHW Power Rankings. This is a unique opportunity that we as hockey fans have to voice our opinions on who should be considered the top 10 in the country.
Also, while banter over who should be ranked where is encouraged, please have the common decency to post your top 10 before ripping into another poster's top 10.
My Top 10:
1. New Hampshire - The Wildcats have been very impressive this season, and were again this weekend, sweeping Lowell.
2. Boston College - The Eagles fell at arch rival BU on Friday before helping Coach York tie the All-Time wins record on Saturday in a 5-2 victory over the Terriers.
3. Notre Dame - The Irish took care of business, including a 6-1 route of LSSU on Saturday.
4. Western Michigan - The Broncos swept CCHA foe Northern Michigan this weekend in two tight games...a Western specialty.
5. Miami - The Redhawks are 5-0-2 in their last 7 games, and dominated Alaska this weekend in a sweep.
6. Quinnipiac - The Bobcats are 7-0-1 in their last 8 (last 6 on the road), and 6-0-0 in ECAC play this season, including wins over Union and Cornell.
7. North Dakota - UND played very well over the course of the weekend, but needed an extra-attacker goal to tie before winning on Saturday to salvage a split against CC.
8. Ferris State - The Bulldogs shutout Michigan on Friday, and are 4-0-1 in their last 5 games.
9. Denver - The Pioneers struggled to score this weekend, potting only 2 goals against a stingy Badger squad.
10. Minnesota - The Gophers split against a strong Omaha side, but did not look very good on Friday. Fortunately, for Minnesota fans, the NCAA Tournament doesn't start until March.
Honorable Mention:
Dartmouth
Cornell
Yale
Nebraska Omaha
St. Cloud State
