2011 Minnesota Offseason Thread

May as well start it now since it'll take a miracle for MN to make the NCAA's after losing tonight.

After yet another pointless and mediocre season, how empty will Mariucci be next season? How many players will be lost early this offseason? Will the coaching staff be ****canned?

Re: 2011 Minnesota Offseason Thread

Half full. Everyone who can get a contract will be gone. Maturi will sign Lucia to an extension.

Kicked it off before Feb...gotta be some kind of record. What a sad 'state' of hockey we live in.

Re: 2011 Minnesota Offseason Thread

Ordinarily I would be holding out hope before posting on an offseason thread in Feb.??:D But touche Bak, the loss tonight basically puts the postseason seriously out of reach and officially in the toilet.

Now that the 2011 off season has started who is going to win the championship this upcoming year?

It'll take a miracle for them to reach the NCAA's now. My best guess is they will finish within 3 games of .500; they may even manage to advance to the Final Five. However, once there, I don't see them advancing to the championship under any circumstances. You can't do that as a non-top two team in this format when you can't string together a couple good games in a row. If they get there, they'll lose Friday if they are fortunate enough to win on Thursday.

Re: 2011 Minnesota Offseason Thread

That is the single most awesome picture I have ever seen on the web in my entire life. Life just got a whole lot sweeter today. :D

Where do I get one of those? Seriously.

We'll be going into mass production in 4 weeks. I'll let ya know. All proceeds go to the Lucia Buy Out Fund.

Re: 2011 Minnesota Offseason Thread

Lucia has removed Wooger as a friend, and members of his staff are on their way to western Canada as we speak, looking for 25-year-old canadians.

The team gets better, but Happy goes in for psychotherapy.

I met the guy on the golf course a couple years ago who has this toilet... Sioux fan, of course.

Re: 2011 Minnesota Offseason Thread

Roman's Tweet.

Gophers have scored 72 goals, only three WCHA teams have scored fewer.

Michigan Tech 58
UAA 54
Bemidji State 54

That's the kind of company Minnesota is keeping right now.

Now I'm torn. The chance to unirate and poop right on Goldy is a very powerful urge, but if it helps buy out tDon, which MAY help the rodent program overall, well, I may not want to help with that. Of course, Maturi firing tDon could actually hurt the program. So I think right now I'm 75% onboard with the purchase. Can I be your SE WI distributor?

I've got a stack of rep applications to go through, so we're not taking any more apps. But I could use you on post production. When the toilets come off the line they need to be brushed and cleaned. Are you on board?

We've decided to ban sales to Sioux fans. The lawnmower incident a couple years ago pretty much sealed that. Sorry guy.
