For those of you who have been voting previously, here is the thread to post your "ballot" of top-10 teams. If you have never posted before, but would like to, here is where you post your top-10. If you would like your ballot to be counted, make sure to have your top-10 posted in this thread by Monday (Nov 14) by 1pm Eastern.
Here is my top 10...
1. Notre Dame - The Irish's two losses (@ Duluth and vs. Ohio State) don't look too bad now. Couple that with the other top teams faltering on the weekend have Notre Dame #1.
2. Merrimack - The Warriors needed a late goal to force overtime against BU, but remained unbeaten with a quick goal in OT.
3. Minnesota - An inconsistent weekend for the Gophers, but Madison is a very difficult place to win games, so the split should be well received in the Cities.
4. Boston College - An embarrassing loss to their rival on Sunday doesn't erase the strong start from BC
5. Minnesota Duluth - The Bulldogs have quietly regained top form over the last few weeks, and look like the defending national champions
6. Colorado College - The Tigers played well against their rival DU despite falling just short of a great comeback. These two squads should provide for some great hockey the rest of the way.
7. Ferris State - The Bulldogs from Big Rapids beat LSSU on Friday before losing in a shootout on Saturday.
8. Nebraska Omaha - The Mavericks finally solved Bemidji State, and only a late game-tying goal on Friday kept UNO from the sweep.
9. Ohio State - The Buckeyes are trying to prove they are for real, and the weekend sweep over Northern Michigan has Ohio State on a 6-0-1 streak.
10. Yale - The third group of Bulldogs to make my top 10, Yale came away from the Capital District with two impressive wins over RPI and Union to place themselves as the favorite once again for the ECAC title.
Honorable Mention:
Michigan
Western Michigan
Union
Michigan Tech
Cornell
Denver
As always, comments are appreciated and please post your top-10s.
