For those of you who have been voting previously, here is the thread to post your "ballot" of top-10 teams. If you have never posted before, but would like to, here is where you post your top-10. If you would like your ballot to be counted, make sure to have your top-10 posted in this thread by Monday (Oct 24) by 1pm Eastern.

Here is my top 10...

1. Boston College - Two wins, albeit in overtime on Saturday, and I keep the Eagles atop my top 10
2. Denver - Took care of business against Mankato like they should have
3. Colorado College - Didn't play
4. Notre Dame - The Irish kicked off their new arena in a winning way
5. Minnesota - If not for the collapse against Vermont today, they would have been #1
6. Western Michigan - Taking three points up in Alaska is always difficult to do
7. Northern Michigan - A solid weekend against Michigan puts the Wildcats in my top 10
8. Michigan - Disappointing weekend for Michigan, but they will look to regroup after their first loss
9. Ferris State - Undefeated after three pretty good series to start the season.
10. Union - The Dutchmen struggled against a solid Niagara team, but embarrassed RIT 5-0 on Saturday.

Honorable Mention:
Lake Superior State
Yale
Merrimack

As always, comments are appreciated and please post your top-10s.

Re: 2011-2012 NCAA Week 3 Rankings

Here's my picks.

1. DU- showed why and beat BC head to head, just a ton of talent.
2. BC- took a game off but still won somehow.
3. CC- Not a lot to go on but convincing wins last weekend.
4. FSU- a number of quality wins. I think they have the best record in college hockey so far.
5. Minnesota- didn't do themselves any favors today, but a very talented team, will finish high imho.
6. NMU- tempted to rate them higher.
7. Michigan- lets see what happens next week, could end up like Miami though I doubt it.
8. WMU- not convinced they are for real
9. Union- same comment only double, but they do have an easy schedule.
10.Merrimack- plenty of wins but the opponents are iffy.

Honorable mention: Bemidji, very fast and have found a goaltender, Yale, not impressive in their exhibition, Notre Dame, Rpi is just not quite a tough enough opponent to get in, especially with only one game this week.

The real question is, will BU retain their one first place vote???

Re: 2011-2012 NCAA Week 3 Rankings

1 Minnesota - curse of being ranked #1
2 Ferris State : perfect 6-0
3 Boston College
4 Denver
5 Northern Michigan
6 Merrimack : perfect 4-0
7 Colorado College
8 Western Michigan: undefeated 3-0-3 and took 3 points on the road
9 Quinnipiac : 6-2-0 ECAC need some poll love
10 Air Force: winning record representing Atlantic hockey.

Looks like all the honorable mentions are in the CCHA: Lakers, MU, BG

its spelled bemidji...
My top 10:

1. Denver
2. Boston College
3. Colorado College
4. Ferris State
5. Northern Michigan
6. Notre Dame
7. WMU

Bubble: Minnesota - Not convinced by this young team yet. Rau continues to impress. UAA and NoDak coming up... it should give us a better picture.
Bemidji State - Getting plenty of scoring all around, Kinne/George/Boehm line is lethal.
Merrimack - Waiting to see how they fare against Vermont and BU

Re: 2011-2012 NCAA Week 3 Rankings

C'mon, they only put up 10 against the Lost Cows! And gave up 2! Should have been a 12 goal margin at least.

:p:D:D Don't forget about Friday night's debacle where they only won by 2!

Also, the rankings are up on the website now. For those interested, here is the link...

It does appear that the web guy switched the rankings page a bit, but if you still are unhappy, either email the editor or post here and I can push it along.

Yikes. Denver not even in the top 10? Harsh.

About an hour left for those that wish to post their top 10.

I haven't voted yet cuz I'm just a noob and I haven't seen enough outside hockey of my three state area, but wow people are all over the place with these votes.

Polls this early don't mean crap, but I do think they are an important work in progress to more accurate polls down the road.

My point...Thanks Sue23 for the work you put into this. Also, still trying to figure out how you guys got swept by Becky. Didn't see that coming.

Yeah, at this point in the season, some people are voting based on last year, some people are voting based on how teams have played so far, and some people are voting based on how good they think teams will be.

People may be surprised by North Dakota's struggles thus far, but most Sioux fans expected an inconsistent team to start the season off. I wouldn't really be surprised by any result over the next month or so. However, I think Hakstol will have a very good team on the ice come February and March. At least I'm hoping so. :)

Re: 2011-2012 NCAA Week 3 Rankings

Minnesota moving up a spot and gaining 2 first place votes for splitting at home against Vermont? How many Gopher fans are voting in this poll? :D ;)

Two. FWIW, neither of those two voted Minnesota #1. IMO, Minnesota at #4 is slightly high, but not all that out of place for how they have played so far this year.
