For those of you taking part in the panel for rankings, please post your Week 1 Rankings in this thread. Also, please have your rankings in by Monday, October 10th, by 1pm Eastern Time. To avoid any confusion, you do not want to rank the teams now, but rather wait until this weekends' games are complete and then submit a ranking. I am only posting it now to remind those who want to take part in this that this is where to post your rankings. Thank you.

Very interesting. There is another thread for the preseason rankings (I believe on page 2 or 3), but interesting nevertheless. I think you have North Dakota and Michigan a bit high, and BU too low, but that's what is fun about preseason rankings...nobody knows exactly what will happen.

Friday:
5:05 - #6 Boston College vs Michigan State (Ice Breaker Tourney) - Channel 617
8:00 - Sacred Heart @ Minnesota - Channel 668
8:00 - Northern Michigan @ Wisconsin - Channel 669
8:35 - #7 North Dakota vs Air Force (Ice Breaker Tourney) - Channel 617

Saturday:
5:05 - #6 BC/Michigan State vs. Air Force - Channel 617 (may switch to 623)
8:35 - #6 BC/Michigan State vs. #7 North Dakota - Channel 617 (may switch to 623)

If there are any others that I missed, just let me know. Should be a fun weekend of college hockey.

With nearly all of this weekend's games complete, if you would like to start submitting your rankings, it would be greatly appreciated. Maine and Northeastern play tomorrow, so if they are on your radar, you may want to delay your vote until after that game. Also, Alaska-Anchorage and SCSU are playing now.

Remember, please rank only your top 10, and they need to be submitted by Monday at 1pm Eastern Time. Thanks in advance for taking the time to do this.

Here are my top 10 after this weekend (Northeastern and Maine are not on the cusp of my top 10, therefore the result tonight would not change these rankings.)

1. Notre Dame - Going into the defending national champions' home on banner raising night and nearly pulling off the victory before handling them on Saturday night is impressive. I'll keep them #1 for another week.
2. Boston University - Dominating New Hampshire, and lending further credence to the thought that the Terriers are for real puts BU at #2.
3. Boston College - BC was a fun team to watch this weekend. While neither of their opponents were at mid-season form, the Eagles looked as if they were.
4. Colorado College - A solid win over the Under-18 team was to be expected.
5. Denver - While they defeated the Under-18 team as well, an injury to their #1 goalie, and a suspension to their backup may result in a walk-on getting the start next weekend in Boston.
6. Minnesota Duluth - Splitting with a top team shows that the Bulldogs have what it takes to make another run this year.
7. Miami - Disappointing weekend, splitting with Bemidji State at home.
8. Yale - Didn't play, but still should be a solid team
9. Michigan - Solid victories over less than stellar teams, have Michigan with 3 victories already.
10. Union - A strong victory over Army to start the season. Union should have a gaudy record by March.

I got very busy this week and didn't have time to post my top ten, although I finished it this morning in class.

You can definitely post it here, but at this point the calculations have been done for this week. You are also more than welcome to vote next week. The voting finishes at 1pm Eastern every Monday, so make sure to keep that in mind. I usually "vote" on Sunday afternoon.

Exactly. Just list your top 10 (if you want to do more that's up to you, but I only look at top 10) and you're good to go.

EDIT: Also, each week there will be a new thread with a very similar title, just with a new week listed. For example, next week's thread will be "2011-2012 NCAA Week 2 Rankings", and will probably be posted sometime this weekend. Just as this week, voting for Week 2 must be completed by 1pm Eastern on Monday (October 17th).
