Pretty good game going on right now out at Eau-Claire....Stevens Point just scored early in the third to take a 3-1 lead.

Marian goaltender Josh Baker also got a 10 at 7:45. Don't know what happened there. Big potential game changer there.

In fact, it's just plain ugly this week for LPS - I count a total of 4 out there (only one of which was a pick I would never have considered). A narrow escape for me, too.

That's a fair assessment.

Adrian had 3 power plays in the 1st period, from what I could tell. Did not do anything with them. That's two games in a row where we should have dispatched a team with ease, but failed to do so.

Sounds like Norwich. Probably colda shoulda beat UWS and did manage to escape against the Skidders , but didn't step up. Mostly some real bad power plays (again). How many times do you have to pass left point to mid point to right point and back?

What has happened to MSOE this year? Is it just the difference between the MCHA and the NCHA?

At first I was going to say I have nothing to say as we've fallen a long way in a short time, but then I saw that Lawrence lost another game while again embarrassing itself with penalties and realized things could be worse for us at MSOE.

To answer your question I think it's nothing more than a drop off in talent.

I projected a big drop for them with my computer rankings on the other site based on a really thin recruiting class, and they seem to have underachieved on top of that.

I also wonder if MSOE`s run of finding gems in the obscure western low-level junior leagues (NORPAC, WSHL) has finally come to an end. They did pretty well out there for a couple of years while most other schools steered (and continue to steer) clear.

I saw MSOE play Adrian in Milw earlier this season and thought that they were one of the weakest offensive teams that I have seen @ the D-3 level in quite some time....Could not sustain any pressure at all in the Bulldog zone..

After tonight I don't think I'd be talking too much about Lawrence. Especially when you're looking at a 1-9 record yourself.

Lawrence still isn't any good and I'll talk about it all I want because it's true. The only thing one win is going to do is dupe the rest of you into clamoring about how a perennial 8-14-3 team is on the rise the same way you have been for the past five years. Besides that, what does MSOE's great record this year have to do with Lawrence not being any good?

Re: 12/6/13 - Roadies for top 6. Who's looking ahead to Saturday and falls? SCORES!!

Well, when you're 1-9, and your own team has scored 11 goals in 10 games, and you're banging on a team above you in the standings, especially one that just beat St. Norbert (which was the first time ANYONE in the old MCHA had done so), you sound like a bitter old homeless guy calling someone else a "bum". If that's what you're going for, I guess there's nothing wrong with it.

Tearing down someone else's program does nothing to improve your own.
