Rankings come out weekly. Whether Platty "should" be ahead of Norwich is a matter of opinion. They beat Norwich head-to-head on Tuesday, but floundered badly against Williams. Norwich outshot Plattsburgh in every period of that Tuesday game. On that night Cardieux outplayed Norwich's pair. If you base it strictly on the head-to-head result then Hobart should be ranked ahead of Plattsburgh. Your opinion may be right, but it's all speculative.

Guess what!! Plattsburgh badly outshot William, even worse!!! The shot total Tuesday was Norwich 28-20, tonight it was Plattsburgh 36-21 !! I will repeat it again...There is more to the game than SHOTS!!

Guess what!! Plattsburgh badly outshot William, even worse!!! The shot total Tuesday was Norwich 28-20, tonight it was Plattsburgh 36-21 !! I will repeat it again...There is more to the game than SHOTS!!

Shots, Smots....Oswego was up 31 to 17 in shots after 2 periods and down 3-0 on the score board last night

There is no planet that will have Norwich ranked ahead of Plattsburgh. If your main criteria is that Norwich outshot Plattsburgh Tuesday night.....then we should not count Williams win over Plattsburgh either !! Norwich is a really good team, but it will be difficult for them to rank over Plattsburgh unless the Cards falter badly the rest of the way.
The Cards have a better win percentage, beat them head-to-head, have a better record vs. common opponents. Norwich currently has an edge in SOS but that could flip also. They also have precious few "good wins".
Williams could rank anywhere from #1 - 3, but have a very competitive NESCAC schedule ahead of them. A better argument would be Williams over Plattsburgh. I understand you're still smarting from Tuesday's game, but try to use some logic and common sense.

This Norwich fan agrees that P'Burg should be ranked ahead of the Cadets, in fact, Norwich did not look that good in their loses to the Cards OR UMass Boston. However, this weekend shows a strong ray of hope that they have turned the corner. They are now finishing much better, and seem to have found some line combinations that are working better. Their D-men still need to work on better positioning in the defensive zone, but that's coming along, too. This coming weekend will tell if Norwich should be a top 4 Eastern team.

My criteria is not shots on goal. Just stirring the pot. And, I have no horse in the race as far as Tuesday was concerned.
