2-1 RIT after the first period, despite being outshot 18-3....shots maybe a little misleading, but Merrimack definitely carrying the flow of the play. Josh Watson getting his 3rd start of the year and he's been steady for RIT, but not required to stand on his head.

No better from RIT in the 2nd....4-2 Merrimack after 2 in a period that the refs decided to take over for themselves. Atrocious officiating and the Tigers look like they celebrated New Year's a bit too hard.

Merrimack just went up 5-2. Stollery with the hattie. DaCosta three point night, picking up an assist. Looks like MC made a huge adjustment in terms of play after a sluggish performance at West Point Thursday night.

5-3 final. The 3rd period could hardly be called a hockey game. Two minutes for a sucker punch (and subsequent taunt to the RIT bench) followed by 4 minutes for a single slash in retaliation...refs let this one get out of control in the 2nd with just horrendous officiating, and continued to let it get out of control in the 3rd.
