That was a lot of fun. My brother-in-law still talks about the UNH band.

              Snively65,

Did you send me your writeups for the rest of the Hockey East schools? I don't see it. If so, just let me know what date it was sent, and I will go through and find it. Thanks again for the help!

Still working on them, FS. Should be able to send you from office computer on Tuesday, if that works.

The Raiders began the decade with three up-and-down seasons, then had their best success in the middle of the decade. Colgate’s only trip to the national tournament in the decade was in 2014 – a 1-0 loss to Ferris State. That season also included one of Colgate’s four trips to the league final four; two semifinal losses in 2011 & 2012, and two final losses in 2014 & 2015. This year Colgate finished 10th in the ECAC, and were then swept by Union in the first round of the playoffs. This was the 4th straight year without a winning record for Colgate, as they finished the year with 10 wins – a year after finishing .500. – drshoen

                          #35 – Brown Bears
                          Points: 22.7718
                          Points in 2018-2019: 0.1275 (Rank: 33)
                          Points in the 2010s: 4.2648 (Rank: 36)
NCAA Achievements in the Decade: None
Conference Achievements in the Decade: ECAC Tournament Runner-up – 2013.

The Bears finished above .500 only twice in the decade; in 2012-2013, and in the just-completed 2018-19 season. In both of those years, Brown rode long playoff runs to get there. Brown finished in 7th in the league in 2012-13, and finished 8th in the league this past year. In both those years, they then got on a roll to the league final four. In 2012-13 Brown went to the final game, losing to Union; in 2018-19 they lost to Cornell in the semi-final. – drshoen

                            #26 – Quinnipiac Bobcats
                            Points: 50.9583
                            Points in 2018-2019: 6.3696 (Rank: 3)
                            Points in the 2010s: 47.3855 (Rank: 8)
NCAA Achievements in the Decade: 2013 NCAA National Runner-up, 2014 East Regional Semifinalist, 2015 West Regional Semifinalist, 2016 NCAA National Runner-up, 2019 Midwest Regional Finalist.
Conference Achievements in the Decade: ECAC Regular Season Champions – 2012-2013, 2014-2015, 2015-2016, 2018-2019. ECAC Tournament Champions – 2016.

The Bobcats really began getting national notice in 2012-2013, when they won their first regular season ECAC title, and then went all the way to the NCAA final – losing to in-state and league rival Yale. That season was the first of four straight NCAA tournament bids, including another title game loss in 2015-2016 to North Dakota. In that same four year span, the Bobcats won three regular season titles and their only ECAC tournament title. Quinnipiac had a losing record in 2017-2018 for the first time since 1995-1996, when they were a Division II independent. The Bobcats came back in 2018-2019 and won the regular season title, and made the NCAA tournament. – drshoen

                            #27 – Miami Redhawks
                            Points: 49.1487
                            Points in 2018-2019: -0.1684 (Rank: 56)
                            Points in the 2010s: 20.1672 (Rank: 17)
NCAA Achievements in the Decade: 2010 NCAA Semifinalist, 2011 Northeast Regional Semifinalist, 2012 East Regional Semifinalist, 2013 Midwest Regional Semifinalist, 2015 East Regional Semifinalist
Conference Achievements in the Decade: 2011 CCHA Regular Season Champions. 2011 CCHA Tournament Champions. 2015 NCHC Tournament Champions.

The decade started with a lot of optimism after getting to the national championship game in 2009. It was a tough ending however, as the Redhawks gave up 2 goals in the last minute of the third period and falling in overtime to BU. Miami followed up with a great season in ’09-’10, winning 29 games, the CCHA regular season title and getting to the Frozen Four before falling to eventual champs BC. They had three consecutive 20+ win seasons and won the regular season championship title in the final year of the CCHA in ’12-’13. Life in the NCHC has been challenging, with only one 20+ win season and losing seasons in the last four, which resulted in the firing of long-time coach Enrico Blasi. New coach Chris Bergeron will hope to turn the program around in the upcoming season. – SiouxfaninSeattle

                            #28 – Dartmouth Big Green
                            Points: 40.8896
                            Points in 2018-2019: 0.1438 (Rank: 35)
                            Points in the 2010s: 5.5354 (Rank: 32)
NCAA Achievements in the Decade: None
Conference Achievements in the Decade: ECAC Regular Season 3rd Place Finish – 2010-2011. ECAC Tournament Semifinalist – 2011, 2016.

The Big Green finished above .500 four times in the decade, but never won more than 19 games in a season. Dartmouth only made the league final four once in the decade, losing in the semifinal to Quinnipiac in 2015-2016. Bob Gaudet finished his 22nd season coaching Dartmouth this year. – drshoen

                            #29 – Ferris State Bulldogs
                            Points: 36.5458
                            Points in 2018-2019: 0.0246 (Rank: 39)
                            Points in the 2010s: 29.1405 (Rank: 14)
NCAA Achievements in the Decade: 2012 NCAA National Runner-up, 2014 Midwest Regional Finalist, 2016 West Regional Finalist.
Conference Achievements in the Decade: CCHA Regular Season Champions – 2011-2012. WCHA Regular Season Champions – 2013-2014. WCHA Tournament Champions – 2016.

#30 – St. Cloud State Huskies
                            Points: 36.0412
                            Points in 2018-2019: 27.3873 (Rank: 16)
                            Points in the 2010s: 3.8677 (Rank: 7)
NCAA Achievements in the Decade: 2013 NCAA Semifinalist, 2014 West Regional Finalist, 2015 West Regional Finalist, 2016 West Regional Semifinalist, 2018 West Regional Semifinalist, 2019 West Regional Semifinalist
Conference Achievements in the Decade: WCHA Regular Season Champions – 2012-2013. NCHC Regular Season Champions – 2013-2014, 2017-2018, 2018-2019. NCHC Tournament Champions – 2016.

The decade was a very successful one for the Huskies, with only two seasons under .500 and six trips to the NCAA tournament. They won the conference regular season championship in their last year in the WCHA (2012-2013), and won the NCHC regular season championship three times – 2013-2014, 2017-2018 and 2018-2019. The regular season championship in 2012-2013 was the first for the school in division one. SCSU also won the NCHC tournament championship in 2016. The Huskies were the number one overall seed in the ’18 and ’19 NCAA tournament but fell to the number sixteen seed both years. It looks like the program is in good hands in head coach Brett Larson, who guided the team to a 30 win season in his first year behind the bench. Picking up more hardware will continue the Huskies rise in the rankings. – SiouxfaninSeattle

Conference Achievements in the Decade: ECAC Regular Season Champions – 2009-2010. ECAC Tournament Champions – 2011.

The Bulldogs started the decade winning the league tournament and returning to the NCAA tournament for the third straight year. After a down year, the Bulldogs went all the way to the NCAA title in 2012-13, beating Quinnipiac in an all ECAC final. Yale had only one losing season in the decade in 2016-2017, and finished at .500 the last two years. In addition to their title year, Yale made the NCAA tournament three other times in the decade.. – drshoen

The Saints began the decade with below .500 seasons in the last two years under Joe Marsh. Greg Carvel was hired, and had 3 of 4 years of winning hockey before moving on to UMass. The Golden Knights started off poorly in the decade, with four losing seasons in the first five. The 2013-2014 season was the first year of the decade that they won a playoff round. They then had four straight winning seasons. In 2017-18, Clarkson returned to the league final four for the first time since 2006-2007; they won the semifinal, then lost to Princeton in the final. Clarkson made their first NCAA tournament since 2007-2008. Then in 2018-2019, Clarkson went one game better, beating Cornell in the league tournament final in overtime. They made the NCAA tournament again, and lost to Notre Dame in overtime. – drshoen

The Engineers have not returned to the NCAA tournament since. Only three times in the decade did RPI win their 1st playoff round, and they lost in the 2nd round all three times. The 2nd season under Dave Smith showed some improvement, with the Engineers winning 10 games – their highest total in the last three seasons. RPI finished in 11th in the ECAC, and was swept by Yale in the first round of the playoffs. – drshoen
