Point being, the Republicans are where they are right now.

For those of us living in the real world, the point of this is to 1) expose Chump's crimes, and then 2) when the cult sticks by him despite all evidence, take it out on them in the 2020 elections.

The problem with all of what is coming out of these hearings is that it serves often only to frustrate. No matter what is said, I can count on one hand how many republicans in the House (or eventually the Senate) will be inclined to do the right thing and likely have at least 4 fingers left over.

It is like when your hockey team gets one power play after another and can never score. Then they throw in a 5 minute major, and not only do you not score, you don't even get a shot off. This goes on for game after game after game. You've gone 0-your last 35 on the power play and now you are squeezing the sticks so tightly you can't score at all, ever.

So that means it is left up to the voters. Will enough do the right thing? Are there Senators who will pay for sticking their treasonous heads in the sand? Will we see an even bigger Democratic majority in the House? I mean these are the people who keep electing a piece of human stool like Nunes or McConnell and 63,000,000 voted for trump. Nothing that happens between now and next November matters unless it moves enough Americans to ask themselves some very serious questions, and for those Americans to finally do the right thing and vote the current version of the republican party into oblivion.

She's not a Nazi, but Nazism isn't a deal breaker for her.

No. She's a huge part of the problem. She had plenty of chances to denounce the insanity of her party. She's either a fellow traveler which is awful or aware of the criminality but a coward, which is worse. At least an animal can't help being what it is.

I think Tillis is in more trouble than conventional wisdom suggests. Educated voters in the suburbs are deserting the GOP in droves, even in the recent governor's races in KY and LA. Tons of educated people are moving into the suburbs of North Carolina and Tillis is basically useless and a nutter. IF the GOP goes down in the Senate next year, I think his race is the lynchpin (agree that Gardner needs to polish up his resume and list his DC condo, next up is accidental Senator McSally "wait, didn't she kick her out during the last election?" , followed by Collins who will fly Brett Kavanaugh into Portland for an election eve endorsement if things aren't looking good. )

But in a way, it is. Removal stops Dump from corrupting the next election.

Nothing is going to convinces GOP voters. They aren't even seeing this: if they actually see the hearings on Fox they will be massaged at every turn by those propagandists into believing what they are seeing is a Dem coup / DEEP STATE!!! / total exoneration etc. They just don't have the ability to understand they are being manipulated or they would have years ago.

Every vote Dump got in 2016 he is getting again unless the voter has literally died, and even then there will be enough replacement by first time voters from Dump families to make up for that.

It comes down to the rest of the country: have people finally had enough of the Nazis? Will so many people vote that the GOP can't steal it either by vote suppression, state electoral fraud, or partisan Court decision?

It also meant when organizations calculated a senator's rating it was always inaccurate. Collins was actually endorsed by the HRC and environmental groups in 2014 because she had so many "good" votes. No, she had many "good but inconsequential" votes and a lot of "bad but important" votes.
