Thanks for the link. Saw the third and OT. Looked solid on D, but a little passive in the attacking third, much like some of the reports I read on him.

like this one ... http://www.draftsite.com/nhl/player/parker-reno/19572/..........4th Rd. http://www.draftsite.com/nhl/mock-draft/2013/round4/............ IIRC, this site was very close to where they had Kasdorf going in the draft although they had him going several picks later in the 6th rd. & going to San Jose.

Brandon Pirri: Turk would give it to Jagr. That's awesome! Jagr's untouchable. And he would give it to Jagr.

You could say there was some self-fulfilling prophecy in my "scouting."

I noticed that several sites, like that one, think that he plays for the USNTDP, probably because he was at the Hlinka tourney.

Well if my D recruit has to have a weakness, that's the one I want him to have. So long as he's taking care of business in our end, with time he'll learn to be more comfortable in the offensive zone.

I certainly agree with that, although the one he replacing, at least on paper, is "more comfortable in the offensive zone".

BTW, The Edina vs. Duluth East game is being streamed currently at http://www.nscsports.org/page/show/475116-gamecast-tv. After losing their first game of the season, Edina seems to be in a deep funk trailing 3-0. In a 5 minute power play they had zero or maybe one SOG (the announcers weren't sure) and gave up a SHG.

On Friday, Edina H.S. defeated Blaine H. S. 3-2 in overtime. Parker Reno had an interference penalty. http://www.mnhockeyhub.com/game/game_sheet/4549909

                          Reno's line is now 12-1-10-11-8.

Edit: Edina salvaged one game from the tourney. It looks like they almost gave the game away, surrendering a 2-0 lead with two 3rd period goals including the tying goal with one second left (17 minute periods).

On Friday, the Sioux City Musketeers defeated the Waterloo Black Hawks 4-3. Riley Bourbonnais had two assists, a head contact penalty, and a high sticking penalty. He was named #3 star. It looks like an assist came after leaving the penalty box. http://ushl2011.stats.pointstreak.co...gameid=1978159
