Too many times I have seen RPI play a great game against a superior team only to come out flat against a team they should beat.
    Lets not do that tonight.
It is encouraging to see the way the team is capable of playing, now we just have to be consistent with it.

    Lets Go Red!!!!!!!!!!!

The last time that we swept the North Country trip was 2012/13, and we have not done it that often. We have made that trip every year except one since 1951/52. In 1958/59 we made separate trips to Canton and Potsdam because typically neither CCT nor Clarkson played another game that weekend in that era, and Uncle Ned felt that gave them an undue advantage.

A North Country sweep has indeed been a rare occurrence for us. I do not think it ever happened before 1977-78 and Jen and I had the pleasure of being up there for that series. We were there again of course in 1984-85 when we actually expected to win and we did. Our last trip up there was 2004-05 for another winning series. We missed the only other winning set in 2012-13. not sure why I remember these so vividly but even at advancing age, some things just seem to stand out as important. So, unless i am wrong, and guys please check this if you can, we have had 4 sweeps of the North country in 68 years (although as RB points out we did have a few years of single games up there so no chance for a sweep during a single weekend). i am not totally sure how many time we drove up and saw us lose both games or split or have one game as a tie, but Jenny seems to think we have been up there about 25-30 times total. When we were staying in the Adirondack house, it was an easy trip and we were able to go almost every year. But trying to drive up from NJ has become one of the labors of Hercules. Commuting up the Garden State Parkway, at any time, let alone the winter months, is just simply unpleasant!

Latest odds have us as a 56% chance of winning (SLU is at 33%) with a predicted score of 3-2. We have not been listed as a favorite often this year but it is sure nice. Not sure how much winning on the road against a #4 team raises our ranking but I suppose losing tonight would just push us right back to almost where we were.

Could be a bit of an optical illusion due to the colors of the uniforms but we look a lot smaller than SLU. Yesterday was similar in that CCT looked bigger but not by as much as tonight
