And the puck landed on Campbell's head!!

Could have easily fallen backwards into the net.

OK, last year in the final game this is where UW disappeared against Clarkson, after the first period. Let's see if they learned from it although the whole thing is counterintuitive.

Two years ago, so much of the team is different. Last year was Colgate in 2OT.

Wisconsin is doing their typical possession domination but nothing to show for it so far.

At the outset, we could hang with the dude...

Sauve would like that one back...Now it's an uphill battle for the fighting nurses.

I think the key was Shirley was charging the near post and that held Sauve for a moment, and Roque took advantage.

I didn't see that as on her. Nice one-time shot off a side-to-side pass on the rush. Had the one off her glove gone in, that would have been different.

The defending champs don't look like they have a lot of energy at this point.

Happy to see Abby Roque get one. I like her game.

Shocking to see Wisconsin look like they are on the Pp against Clarkson at times, at 5 on 5.

We all know Clarkson’s top line is lethal and Wisconsin would be wise to put one more in the net before Clarkson does what they did to BC.

Sauve is playing well, as she always does.

Nice one timer goal. Clarkson looking like they just got off the bus!

No disappearing act by UW in the second period...in fact their relentless forechecking is suffocating CU in their own end for long stretches of time.

Regardless of the goal and especially in the first half of the second period it was looking like CU had absolutely no answers for UW.

UW's passing while attacking is superior to CU's with some gorgeous play making on exhibition.

And yet, with Gabel and Giguere's quick decision making and jugular striking skills it wouldn't take much to draw even but CU really has to put its foot down offensively.

And it is beautiful to watch lots of these players who know how to shoot...shooting with extreme authority.

Sauve had virtually no time to react to Roque's shot.

Two disastrous power plays for CU. Couldn't have been much worse. And one good one where their skills were evident.

                        Very entertaining game.

Pozzebon was able to take advantage of the final two BC players not moving their feet and reaching for the puck. I don't think the Badgers will make that mistake. It's very tough to come back against UW's team D late. OSU did it a month ago today, but it is hard.

No question it was a nice pass to the trailing player I'll give you that...
