Re: Minnesota Golden Gophers @ CC Tigers: Oct 29/30

Coach Ron Jeremy shows his players the wrong video, it turns out to be his greatest hits from his porn days and not the Gopher game tape. As a result CC players now think autofellatio is something worth practicing for and forget about the games.

    Gophers sweep

Agree, we sure hope for a CC sweep. I go to every CC game expecting CC to win. I have never gone to a CC game expecting to lose. Western Wisconsin is not a top ten team, and they are playing on the road. I will expect CC to win both games!

      Go Tigers!!
World Arena North (aka Magness Arena on the campus of Denver State University) where the Colorado College Tigers are 17-11-5 all time against the Metro State Pioneers. Thank you Denver Roadrunners for building a second home for CC!!

World Arena North lives on!! Go Tigers!!

I hope the Gophers sweep. If they do then hope may exist yet.

He's skating and practicing. Should be good to go.

                Sounds good.

Do you think we see both goalies this weekend? I'm thinking Kangas on Friday and Patterson on Saturday.

I hope they do bring Parenteau on the trip to CC he seemed pretty poised back on D and even threw his body around a little, it was nice to see that instead of the practice cones we were using for the first few games.

Edit: I think Patterson on Friday and if he is great in net he will play again on Saturday otherwise we see Kangas on Saturday.

I wouldn't bet on it. Don clearly likes Kangas, and for good reason. He has shown his ability for years to control a game. He had horrible defense in front of him for a couple games this year. This early in the year, Patterson has earned the right for a split and will be playing to continue splitting time with Kangas. He hasn't done enough nor has Kangas done enough to justify Patterson taking over. I would say that Patterson would have to start making circus saves and win a game by himself before Don would consider rewarding him with Saturday's game.

Any word on who will make the trip and who won't?

Roman's reporting that they will take 8/10 freshmen on the trip. Bjugstad is out, so maybe Gardiner stays too. I thought the balance on the defense pairings on Sunday looked good:

                        Defense:
                        Helgeson-Fairchild
                        Ness-Alt
                        Wehrs-Parenteau

I was surprised to see White starting on the top line with Haula and Barriball after it appeared he was struggling with his game and has actually sat out 3/6 games. He still appears to be struggling a bit to find his niche. He was a first rounder with Vancouver (traded to the Sharks) but it seems he struggles to meet expectations every year. In '07 some scouts thought White was the best stick handler in the draft beside Pat Kane.

You can like the defensive pairings all you want but someone is going to have to explain to me what Wehrs and Fairchild offer to the team at this point. Fairchild doesn't generate any offense and is a defensive liability. Wehrs I guess can at least take a shot from the point but that's about it and he's way too small to move anybody out of the crease.

                            That is an understatement.

We really need Fairchild to snap out of his funk that goes all the way back to last season. The fact that he was an early pick last year to be a Hobey candidate is mind boggling.

I guess I was thinking more that maybe Patterson would get the nod Friday because of playing so well Sunday against Jan and getting the win, IF he stands on his head and wins Friday night at CC he would get rewarded with Saturday as well. But like you said Don has a big crush on Kangas Khan so probably not.
