In retrospect that should be 2010 instead of 2012 to be more relevant. Plus I calculated Meyer's age based on 2009. Other than that...

      Two-thousand twelve; no "and."

I voted for the first option, though I don't use an "and" between them.

                  It's about consistency.

Nineteen Twelve, not One Thousand Nine Hundred Twelve.

Twenty Twelve, not Two Thousand Twelve.

                      Here's my 2 cents.

I hear what everyone's saying with the whole consistency thing.

BUT... Nobody ever said "twenty hundred" or "twenty hundred (one, two, etc)" because it was always "two thousand" or "two thousand (one, two, etc)"

So if we're going with consistency, it can go both ways right?

                        Did you say "twenty oh-eight"?

Really, I know people are going to have this argument, and some are going to get very heated by the inevitable disagreement, when really, it matters about as much as what color socks I'm wearing right now. Why do people care so much. As long as it's clear, who the * cares?

I agree. All this arguing is completely pointless.
