Of course they would say that. Even if there were only white people throwing stuff, they would never take any responsibility in the source. Not to say I know one way or the other, but that response would be totally expected.

The real question will be the police response- do they attack a damaging group of white people like they have every other color of skin?

We've had some demonstrations here in Ann Arbor over excessive force- but thankfully it didn't get so far someone died.

The right calls Antifa "terrorists" because they oppose right wing terrorism. Projection, as always.

Anti-fa just means anti-fascist. As in the USA during WW2.

      Antifa is a Good Thing.

I’m a little nervous about the curfew, and wonder if it pushes the looters to the burbs. As someone who lives in a burb bordering the city

Uno should be able to answer this question, from his own experience and that of his wife. In civil law (at least in Wisconsin) an act or omission does not have to be the sole cause of injury, only a substantial factor. There is also the eggshell plaintiff concept. The burden of proof is much different in criminal law, so I suspect the proof required on the element of causation in a homicide case is different as well, though it must get a little tenuous in felony murder cases. Maybe uno (or Handy ) can give us a primer on how the causation questions could play out here, given the doctor's report.

Watching the docu-series Grant on History made me sad about the follow up of the Civil War. Much progress ended by violent white supremacists. Even worse were the same people re-writing history about why the Confederacy even formed- calling it the "Lost Cause" and by doing that, made Grant look really bad in virtually all aspects. Even though HE is the General who really won the war. He was the one who really tried to reconstruct the south the hardest. He was a real hero.

And we fight the same problems today. Somehow there are a bunch of white people who think they are better than everyone else, especially if you have the wrong colored skin. Them make excuses about them not being bad people, that it's all about their rights.

                  Very disappointing for this country.

But it does seem like there's a whole lot more support this time from the rest of the white population. Maybe some of the new additions saw the MASSIVE difference in response to COVID for African Americans (by response, I mean both society's help to them, and their seemingly more acute response).

Then again, I'm really starting to think that the whole phrase "pre-existing conditions" is more an excuse that makes each death ok. Including for George Floyd.

Is trump there? If so, I bet that orange coward is wearing diapers. He tells tales of terrorists we kill cowering and whimpering. As always, a form of projection. trump knows what a scared little impotent child he is, and at the slightest provocation would lose control of multiple bodily functions. Usually the stool sample just falls uncontrollably from his mouth. But if protesters massed around the White House, even though the odds of them coming within sight of the president are virtually zero, he would be leaking from numerous orifices.
