    Ted Cruz won't like that.

There was a guy at my work who looked so much like Kaczynski he deliberately dressed like him to freak people out. Going to the Mongolian Grill with him for lunch was a hoot. It added (if that's the word) to the experience that in real life he was a hardcore conspiracy righty prepper and a decorated Marine sniper.

He liked me, though, because we both felt the same way about bankers. I didn't go too deeply into it though because while for me it was the money I'm pretty sure for him it was the tribe.

Go into defense contracting, they said. You'll meet interesting people, they said.

For the last 20 years the only thing you need to get the GOP nomination is to announce you hate Mexicans and math.

That isnt how she got the job. Her husband is one of the most famous people in Vegas...he was Mayor but termed out so she ran. (he has a great supper club in Downtown Vegas that literally every celebrity goes to with pictures of his days as the mob lawyer) She also isnt a Republican she is a former Democrat who went Independent in 2009. Her problem is she is old and represents a lot of big corporations losing billions. Vegas never shuts down you know the Wynn's of the world are making life hell for anyone they can.

She needs to be put out to pasture...and she is on her last term so she will be.

You guys need to remember it isnt just the GOP that is going loonbat over this crap. The Jill Stein Lovers are just as bad...they just have no money or network to put forth their crap. And well...some olds are just batchit crazy man no matter their politics.

Cali continues its climb up the charts...1600 new cases and 112 deaths.

As of now 26k new cases and 2100 deaths reported today. At this rate we will pass 50 on Friday and most likely the 60k Trump was praying was the max by around this time next week.

Haven't been checking every day, but in the past week that I've looked, there've been at least two days where South Korea did not add any new infected cases. Also, over the last two weeks roughly, they've gone from 211 dead, to 238.

                    Meanwhile, here we are...........

3rd most densely populated state in the County behind Jersey and Rhode Island (kind of surprised about RI). Huge amount of deaths in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Will be interesting to see if the new "Contact Tracing" program works.

Colorado transitioning from stay at home order to "safer at home" starting the 26th.

Staying home encouraged, but no longer ordered. Masks highly encouraged in public spaces. Still no gatherings larger than 10.

Curbside retail, hair salons, tattoo parlors, real estate showings, etc. can open the 27th. Most interior retail can open following Ye Olde Social Distancing Best Practices on May 1. Businesses can go to 50% occupancy May 4 with larger businesses doing symptom/temp checks. Bars/restaurants TBD, possibly mid-May, almost certainly with occupancy limits.

I can live with this with the caveat that it excludes Denver metro - think they have a couple weeks where there's still potential for a spike, plus I'm concerned what will happen when the local yokels collectively decide "ZOMG CORONAVIRUS IS OVER WE'RE FREE WE DID IT REDDIT PARTY PARTY PARTY!" Our outbreak actually started outside the Denver metro in Eagle/Gunnison/Summit Counties, home of the ski resorts. They have things pretty much licked by now, only a few cases a day (San Miguel went full lockdown, nobody in or out.) City/County of Denver and surrounding metro counties have their own stay at home orders until at least the 30th, up in the air as to whether they get extended.

Um, just don't go to Vegas. The glitch will fix itself.

I LOVE GAMBLING. LOVE IT. But I wouldn't go to a casino. No way.
Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.
