I wonder how much of the stock market rebound from the lows a month ago are from all of us heeding the advice to stay the course, and invest more at the "bottom."
I do have to say, some of the advice I've received here has done well. Increased my contribution amount right after the market crashed. Switched my 401K investment into a group that had better mix of companies with good balance sheets and better long term recovery outlook. Recovered the password to a long forgotten 401k rollover that had been sitting in a money market account for years earning squat, switched that to a different group to actually do something for me before the market rebounded.
Still haven't jumped in to individual stocks. I am unsure I want to commit to a Vangaurd account just for stocks. Might open a Robinhood to test the waters (since I don't have to invest much).“Demolish the bridges behind you… then there is no choice but to build again.”

Blame the Democrats for any “lateness” in your Enhanced Unemployment Insurance. I wanted the money to be paid directly, they insisted it be paid by states for distribution. I told them this would happen, especially with many states which have old computers.

This is getting more weird at work.
So they furloughed a bunch of people for two weeks with pay. I wasn't in that group. But I will likely be included in the group that gets paid furlough for a week which hasn't been scheduled yet beyond "it will be in Q2".
So essentially, I had to take 1.5 weeks of my vacation by June 30th. Luckily, I already had four days used for the wedding. But in return, I'm getting a week of paid furlough/vacation where I cannot work under any circumstances (check, by the way ). So yay?Code:As of 9/21/10: As of 9/13/10: College Hockey 6 College Football 0 BTHC 4 WCHA FC: 1

I've been through this route before, with that last recession a few years back. Thankfully, no one was laid off due to this course of action. I have a feeling this time the situation is a bit more severe, but I have hope everyone at my branch will be okay. My work actually cares, compared to some other companies out there. I'm very thankful for that.Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

The Lakers have returned approximately $4.6 million that they received from a federal government program.
— SportsCenter (@SportsCenter) April 27, 2020
The program was intended to help small businesses weather the economic burden caused by the coronavirus pandemic.https://t.co/iPePuma58u"It's as if the Drumpf Administration is made up of the worst and unfunny parts of the Cleveland Browns, Washington Generals, and the alien Mon-Stars from Space Jam."

NEW: The $175 billion fund meant for health care providers treating coronavirus could be a windfall for big hospital chains instead. One person familiar with discussions among @HHSGov staffers told @Newsweek: "Yeah, it's going to be a cluster****." https://t.co/eeUp5R8pLD
