Nice job dmac, this kid looks to be a very nice pick up,not huge #'s but a 3.5 star recruit for a reason, watched a few of his you tube vids,he has mad skills with the puck and can snipppppp.Big brother played ACHA at Adrian, but it looks like Trent is a Oswego product/local kid,I think this kid will be fun to watch...Best of luck to him.

WOW that's nice, they all seem to have the 3.5 recruits coming in,dont subscribe to NZ but I guess that means something, but then there is the need to fill certain positions,I doubt that is taken into consideration by the NZ site??

From the website: "The teams are ranked by points, but there is a sort capability where you can track what teams have the highest overall quality (average star rating), highest number of commits, etc. The points algorithm is designed to weight players according to their age, the league they come from, and their star rating. We have analyzed freshman production in regards to age and in regards to the league they come from, and have found patterns in the data. We have weighted those patterns into our data and applied it to the team rankings. The algorithm also puts a higher degree of importance on higher star players so two teams with the same number of commits and same number of total stars could have different point totals because two 4.5 stars is different than one 5 star and one 4 star."

More on the Neutral Zone points ranking system:
                  Star DI D3 Other
                  5.0 100% 0.0% 0.0%
                  4.75 100% 0.0% 0.0%
                  4.5 100% 0.0% 0.0%
                  4.25 100% 0.0% 0.0%
                  4.0 99.2% 0.0% 0.80%
                  3.75 97.66% 0.0% 2.34%
                  3.5 88.14% 2.28% 9.58%
                  3.25 9.98% 69.65% 20.37%
                  3.0 0.97% 87.78% 11.25%
                  2.75 0.0% 97.77% 2.23%
                  2.5 0.0% 78.32% 21.68%
                  2.25 0.0% 72.24% 27.76%
                  2.0 0.0% 67.11% 32.89%

"The NCAA prospect data shows that 100% of all players ranked 4.25 star or higher go NCAA D1. 99.20% of 4 stars go D1, 97.66% of 3.75-star prospects go D1 and 88.14% of 3.5-star prospects go D1. Then there is a major drop off at 3.25 stars where less than 10% go D1 and after that it’s less than 1%.

These ratings give NCAA prospects and coaches an accurate indication of where the players stand. The star ratings will change throughout a player’s amateur career as players develop at different rates; but overall this is a useful tool to compare and analyze prospects."

According to Elite Prospects, King's leading scorer Tommy Cahill is transferring to Oswego. It will be interesting to see how he pans out. He has good size and averaged almost a point a game on a terrible team. Could be a diamond in the rough type.

If that happens the Lakers get back a very dynamic player. Him being out actually helped the future of this team because it allowed Alex Dicarlo to step in and become a force. If Josh Leblanc comes back and develops into the type of player he looks like he can be then the forward group has some really strong returners. And many of the new additions look pretty strong.

Awesome Dmac thanks for the update,he looks like he may challenge Koz btwn the pipes..Best of luck to him,,After a fast search, NAHL netminder near the top of all stats, goalies in front of him and behind him all going D1,he will look good in Lakerland, also a nice you tube vid of him as well..In addition he split time and had just about the same stats with another netminder on the Mudbugs who is going to The Air Force Academy, their stats were almost identical..
