NH Register reports Ryan Donald is done as Assistant Coach. Taking some sort of position in the BCHL. Although Yale will be dealing with Donald's recruits for the foreseeable future, I believe this may be a good thing moving forward, as long as Yale hires an experienced and respected coach and recruiter. IMO, they should not promote any of the current assistants to Donald's position. It will interesting to see how the AD affects this situation. FWIW, change was needed, especially in recruiting.

Good news for Donald. Multiple sources stating this morning that Yale assistant coach Ryan Donald is leaving the Bulldogs to become head coach of Cranbrook, an expansion team in BCHL. A 2010 Yale alum, Donald has been assistant at his alma mater since 2016.

Interesting article about Luke Stevens and how his season ended abruptly. The article also confirms that Luke's brother Ryan will be coming to Yale next season. https://www.patriotledger.com/sports...NyotI_2lbhAW0Y

AD Chun stated in a social media interview that video boards are being considered for Ingalls Rink. The Q&A with Chun was quite the softball fest. She supported her reasoning for removing the iconic Yale bulldog from all uniforms because the new Yale "Y" logo is more in keeping with Yale tradition. What a joke. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_2HQxr99AmI

Not sure what the Ivy League's decision to cancel fall sports means for hockey and basketball which are technically winter sports that start in the fall. There won't be any November games or practices, I would think.

It sounds as if no Ivy League sports are happening until at least Jan 2021... I wouldn't be surprised to see many other schools and conferences start to follow suit.

Perhaps it ends up being an abbreviated season starting in January assuming things have smoothed out by then..

He also co-authored a book in 2013 called "Hockey Haven" about the Yale and Quinnipiac hockey programs that met in that years NCAA Championship game.

A fine tribute to Chip Malafronte from the New Haven Register. I was sorry to hear of his passing, he did a nice job documenting the resurgence of Division 1 hockey in CT and was a great supporter of all of the CT programs. https://digital.olivesoftware.com/Ol...iDFqRNg-BNG58c
