To be fair, red states won't really have to actively suppress numbers. Given their terrible infrastructure and lack of capable people they will naturally underreport.

There are supply chain issues with the testing kits. At first there was rumored to be a chemical shortage, but enough was found (or that rumor had subsided).

This morning on CNBC, a high ranking White House official (I missed who they interviewed) stated that the actual swabs were now in shortage. And he was able to have a USAF cargo plane fly an excess of swabs from Europe to the US, and from here, he was able to get FedEx to fly them to NY, North East, and two locations in California.

This same person also said that Honeywell was working on submitting government paperwork to get a fast track to production of masks, but production wouldn't be able to start up for 30 days at earliest.

Possibly. I guess time will tell. Either way, lots of people are going to die, and it’s a shame. I know it’s just a message board, and our opinions aren’t representative of anyone, and certainly mean nothing outside of the 25 people who read this message board, but I don’t want any bible thumpers to die from this either. There are plenty of good Christian people here, who voted for Trump and will again, who have either already helped my wife and I, or would in a heartbeat if we needed it. They’re not all monsters. Their families need them just as much as your family needs you.

I don't want anybody to die, obviously. But when people die after playing Russian roulette I am a might less sympathetic.

We can agree that the toilet seat woman, and the woman who responded to AOC on Twitter about enjoying her Red Robin meal, should receive less sympathy. Publicly flaunting your actions during this time, like a Rudy Gobert, are just asking for karma to get them. Gobert made up for it though.

Real Christians, sure. But there are a lot of pretend christians out there, too- and when they are mocking the system and the idea that people are getting sick, I, too, have a tough time feeling sorry for them- they are the ones playing with fire. Right now, especially the rich ones who are throwing their employees to the curb while they could easily support them in a very helpful manner. They are very much fake christians.

Good thing we still have our escape route! Then again, instead of finding a new country, it's so much easier to vote for one.
