Hey, I want money too (that I would just save and probably use towards buying a foreclosed home)

I live in a tourist town with tons of Air B&Bs. If any of those go into foreclosure I’m seriously considering buying it and turning it into a year round rental

There is a huge demand for year round places, but they are never as profit as shot terms. (Until the lockdown)

My conversation with DGF was about take out. I consider any prepared meal that I purchase, and didn't prepare myself, to be "eating out," whether I actually consume that meal at the restaurant, at my desk, in my home, or anywhere else. Maybe it's just me, but that's what I meant by "eating out." Even if restaurants are still open for take out, with tons of people laid off I don't know how much demand for "eating out" (my definition) there will be.
That community is already in the process of dissolution where each man begins to eye his neighbor as a possible enemy, where non-conformity with the accepted creed, political as well as religious, is a mark of disaffection; where denunciation, without specification or backing, takes the place of evidence; where orthodoxy chokes freedom of dissent; where faith in the eventual supremacy of reason has become so timid that we dare not enter our convictions in the open lists, to win or lose.

We just split the workforce into 2 teams working alternate weeks. My company will not pick up any hours for exempts and only allow 60-hour on weeks, so for the duration we'll be burning 40 hours of PTO per month and, when that (quickly) exhausts, LWOP.

Bad idea, means testing. Much cheaper and easier to make it up on taxes. Just cut every American a check for $1k a month.

Else, how do you factor furloughs, lwop, etc.? If I’m making $120k and suddenly lose half my income because I’m off every other week, how does that work?

So I’m out of a job, that I just got a week ago, after not working for 5 months. This is ridiculous. Let’s have a payroll tax cut when no one has a paycheck good news sorta iid that when this whole thing blows over, I’ll be welcomed back

That is how it might get implemented. Everyone gets a check. Then, when you do your taxes, if you are over $65K, you give the money back.

And we've passed 5,000 this morning. It was sitting at 4661 before the most recent update on the Johns Hopkins GIS site. Now at 5068.
