Dartmouth named a Q assistant as their Head Coach.

While I never heard Ben Barr's name associated with D's opening, I wonder what's next for him?

Reid Cashman, the new DC coach, was also a star player for QU.

Cashman's been gone from the Q for several years. He was an assistant for the Caps the last couple of years. The Vermont job also went to an NHL assistant. I hope for Ben's sake that isn't the start of a trend.

Thanks. I did mind-blank on Cashman's name while writing the earlier post but his hiring did get me thinking of Ben Barr who's name often surfaced when openings were being considered.

Now, it seems he's a high level assistant who moves to other high level assistant positions every few years.

I wonder what's next for him, when will he get his shot?

I just missed your your email last night.

I think you're on to something pointing out the recent trend of NHL assistants scoring the college head coaching jobs.

Still nothing about the schedule. I would expect to see it, even though there are questions about if we will play, and if we play, when.

We know we're going to Army West Point for a game. We know we have 2 games with Canisius again. We know we have 1 or 2 games vs Northeastern. And lastly, we know we have the Mayor's Cup. That's 5 or 6 games. I expect 1 or 2 more Hockey East teams on there.

I should have written "nothing official".

I knew that you meant nothing official. I just wanted to add in that we know those opponents unofficially.

I while back you posted a list of the dates that the schedules have been released in recent years. Do you still have that, or do you remember about when it was posted here? I have never gone through the effort of compiling that although I have the dates when our recruits have been announced.

I couldn't find it in my posts, Ralph. Maybe you'll have better luck than me? I think it was posted before the schedule was released last offseason, but I could not find it.

Don't search for it Ralph. I just went on the athletics website and found them all fairly quickly.
