    10-4 nailed it

Huge gulf between the ECHL/SPHL and the AHL, never mind The Show itself.

Let's say that Utica is as good as it gets in D-3 this year. I'm guessing that they'd be no higher than PWR 40 in D-1, and probably somewhat lower.

Don't kid yourselves people, there's a reason guys transfer to D-3, and it's not about making the NHL. It's just about ice-time.

It's truly apples and oranges here.

Ice time is a key for sure, but we at Oz have had many D1 transfers, that have played 3rd and 4th lines and have not lit-up the score sheet, not a bunt as far as that is concerned.

From another thread....Jack Billings who went from Salve to Niagara led the team in goals and scoring, not bad for a D3 transfer..

Niagara is #47 PW in D-1. Essentially, a D-3 team.

They are in the same league as RIT, which is, by rights, a D-3 team and the reason it took so much time for the UCHC (ECAC West) to get an outbid. ECAC West was due for a Pool A slot the year after RIT left

Yeah, the AHA, which is easily the worst conference in D-1.

                    Not seeing your point.

I won't bother to look this up, but I'm fairly confident that the AHA has never garnered an AL bid...

Just getting that lovely AQ every year.

They did, and I was actually rooting for them!

But they really had no business being in the field.

Once, I think. They're the MASCAC of D1.
