Lots of money to be made when fear is rampant. But we can’t have reason and science based information for the general public, we must have crisis and catastrophe to boost the media’s ratings.

Infections are basically doubling every week. Not enough fear out there.

You heard what the Maine CDC man said.... fear is a paralytic.... it leads to people doing the wrong thing. But fear sure does sell nowadays

I love the media’s cute little slogan now though . “Facts not fear”. ***

Hence the pushback when our President calls a spade a spade … whatever you think about the virus, it's unquestionably a result of "some people doing something" - i.e. the totalitarian Chinese Communist regime finding the latest of several scary new diseases on their hands, attempting to cover it up, incarcerating medical professionals to censor their comments and observations, destroying evidence of their own testing … then not doing anything to restrict travel or "contain" the situation, and instead oh-so-generously allowing travel to foreign destinations like Italy and Iran, Canada and the US, etc. in effect sharing this with the rest of the world. Oh, and on top of that, the regime instead concocts propaganda of how the US allegedly hatched this and foisted it upon them.

But God forbid, we accurately refer to the situation using "Chinese coronavirus" or "Wuhan Flu" or other terms, and folks gasp and get the vapors over the insensitivity to the poor folks in the Chinese Politburo. Or they attempt to split hairs, as the following Washington Post article does - "it's the regime - not the Chinese people" - well, duh.

SO important, as the Chinese people have unfettered Internet access, and … oops, I guess not …

… so in "standing up to power" and criticizing President Trump for his anti-China verbiage, the MSM - unwittingly, with the possib (scarily) possibly implicitly being the other option - does the regime's work for them. (((WARNING - satire alert upcoming)))

Remember, this is the same totalitarian Chinese Communist regime that brought us the Tiananmen Square incident just over 30 years ago, and has done everything possible to expunge any memory of the events from the history known to their own people.

I don't blame President Clinton for taking a shot at opening up to the Chinese way back when, because a lot of smart people did think doing so would open the doors to fundamental change in China. Well … 20-plus years on now, clearly it hasn't. Maybe our last clear signal before this all happened was the NBA-Daryl Morey situation, where Morey spoke in support of Hong Kong and its protesters, and Chins put its thumb down collectively on the NBA … and the NBA, most notably Lebron James, caved.

At the end of that last video, I thought the visual was/is spot-on … the US (and others) felt that opening doors to China would result long-term in them improving the situation in their country for their own people's freedom and human rights … instead, it's resulted in China imposing censorship upon the US. And it's absolutely shameful to see when US companies or their prominent "leaders" kow-tow to the totalitarian Chinese Communist regime.

So when you see folks rising to the defense of implication of anything "China" in connection with COVID-19, please understand exactly what you're doing. Since everyday Chinese people - you know, the ones living in China - don't get to read or hear what we say about them … what you're actually doing is enabling the same folks responsible for unleashing this virus upon all of us.
