          I-39 runs North/South through the center of the state between Rockford and Bloomington. It's all farm country.

                OLYMPIA – Spokane Valley Rep. Matt Shea is being billed $4,700 for the cleanup of olive oil he poured on the steps of the domed Legislative Building in early March, part of a Christian group’s response to an earlier demonstration by Satanists who had marched around the building.

                The oil was poured onto porous stones that form the steps and sidewalk around the domed structure that houses the Legislature and top executive offices, making it difficult to remove, according to the Department of Enterprise Services, which manages the Capitol grounds and buildings.

                    “ A 32-year-old Michigan man is facing 20 years in prison he allegedly made "credible" threats to kill Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, who has been facing waves of death threats for her stay-at-home order.

                    "We understand that these times can be stressful and upsetting for many people," the prosecutor said. "But we will not and cannot tolerate threats like these against any public official who are carrying out their duties as efficiently as they can."

                      They might have something like that at a few racetracks around the country. There was a racetrack in Shakopee (now closed) that used to have odd races for gits and shiggles.
                      Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

                        TBH I think it's pretty common. I'm well acquainted with bus races in upstate NY and I don't exactly have the common touch.

                        There's a gazillion old buses out there, it makes perfect sense.

                              They would actually have to kill her for that to happen. My guess is some Dershowitz wannabe will represent them, claim "Freedom of Speech" and they get a sweetheart plea deal or some lesser charge.

                                Lesser charge, most likely. "Failure to have the means to carry out the threat" or something.
