What was "in her prime"? Seriously, it seemed to last for about 35 years.

A college buddy and I sneaked into an Ike and Tina Turner concert and were able to get right up to the stage. Electric energy. Wasn't aware then what a POS Ike was.

When I was first in practice there was a movement to make domestic violence against the law. I remember her revealing and that was huge to a lot of my patients

I remember conservatives opposing that as a governmental intrusion into the family. Just like they argued a husband could not, by definition, rape his wife.

They have always been like this. There is a vital piece missing in their brains.

I lived in an area that was a bit more liberal and this was mind boggling. It was a shock to the system, like they had never considered it before. Now they did, they had to think about it. A lot of them had no argument for why it should be OK but they just knew it wasn't something anyone did anything about

That's true. This was 1972, a year after Proud Mary became a bit and before the breakup with Ike

It did! She is fabulous. Got to see her up close and personal in the late 70's. Those legs! I still have leg envy.
